Does anyone want to see something pitiful? (1 Viewer)

It doesn't even do a good job of that
...

If it was at least coherently racist then at least we can have a discussion about it, even to just de-construct it.

Meh. The "random" stories have the same effect as saying, "I'm not racist, I know a few black people and get along with them fine."

They can throw in a few links to some "random" stories and hide behind that, declaring the site takes a fair and balanced look.

if you say so:9:

yes i say so and that is what my topic has been from the begining...

as far has crime levels goiing up or down it depends on how you measure it...

there are more murders every year. but if you go per capita it dropings.....
like i said before you can make a stat say whatever you want it to....
however if there are 5000 murders last year and 5500 this year murders have increased...
yet by using population increases you can make it look like its droping....
just 2 years ago the media was involved in a story how state and federal agencies were making crime levels look as though they were droping..

No. That's how you measure it. You don't measure it any other way. You can't make it say whatever you want because you only measure it one way, and it says only one thing. They've been dropping the past 30 years. Looking at it from any other angle is, frankly, moronic.

so the number of murders going up is ok with you...

But you have to "go per capita." That's not manipulating anything, that's collecting pertinent data and presenting a more accurate portrayal in a proper context.

It would be like saying minimum wage workers in 1960 only made $1.00 but today they make over $5.00 an hour and argue how that's so much better.

Crime Rate From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crime rate is a measure of the rate of occurrence of crimes committed in a given area and time. Most commonly, crime rate is given as the number of crimes committed among a given number of persons. Often, the type of crime is exactly specified. Thus, a crime rate might be given as the number of murders (or rapes, thefts, etc.) per 100,000 persons per year within a city.

Why.......do.......people.......type..........like......this?

Is it really that hard to put together a thought on the internet without an endless row of dots?

Pretty much.

It sure would be something to see total crime numbers go down while adding 60 million in population. I mean really something, like monkeys flying outta my *** something.
