Does this one feel different ? (4 Viewers)

Drew played very well for the season until that lousy Playoff Game. I think he will look at the entirety of his play and will be back for next season.

If the Saints announce a press conference with him then we know that’s it, which is what my guy tells me will happen. I sure hope I’m wrong.

So your guy is saying he's retiring, or just that if he does retire they will announce a press conference?

If he had a bad season or something I could see him retiring. But he wants that 2nd ring BAD, IMO. He knows he can still play well enough to get it. I think he gives it one more shot.

I believe Brees is coming to the realization that he may never win another Superbowl. Complete acceptance of that realization will come when he ultimately decides to retire.

I remember this article from a few years back where he said he's not sure how much longer he can do this; meaning saying next year, next year. Well, here we are 3 years later and still no Lombardi and this is after much better drafts, free agents and position coaches.

I am at a point now where as a fan I am content with whatever decision he makes. If that is to hang them up then I respect that decision and wish him nothing but the best in his retirement as he's earned it. He's already a first ballot HOFer and has nothing else left to prove.

Unlike some people the number of SB wins does not define greatness to me. That rather is done through hard work, dedication and being a great leader on and off the field. The only reason Brady won as many as he did is because New England plays in such a weak decision and conference overall. I'm sure if Brees was in a similar position he would've won six Superbowls as well. Unlike Brees though Brady is a egotistical and selfish player just like Rodgers and refuses to retire until he owns all the records. Drew is the true GOAT and there's no doubt about that.

He never said he was considering retiring. For the past 3 years he’s said he’s taking it 1 year at a time and took about a month to decide if he’s coming back. This is the same BS the media did to Favre the last few years of his career in GB. He would say he was going to think about it, they would speculate he was retiring, he would decide not to, they would report he changed his mind and decided to come back.

Even in that last game he helped drive the Saints three times on final three dives. His fumble and Misuse of clock/timeouts cost chance to win game in regulation.
