Dolphins interview Kris Richard for DC Job (1 Viewer)

Both co-DC’s looking for a promotion, not a surprise. Our defense has played well for a several years now, any assistants should be candidates for teams needing help.

You think the reason is because DA could not "man up" or that DA's defense has performed so well over the years that his assistants are being looked at for Coordinator positions? Everything can not be a shot against DA, if we hired a new OC is it because his other job the coach couldn't "man up" and give him a OC position or a testament to how productive that unit was under that coach?
Nope, everything is his fault. Shoot, it took half a season for the defense to get right.

It would be an absolute tragedy if we lose both co'defensive coordinators this year. Both are up and coming and well respected coaches and to lose them would create a huge void on the defense in so far as coaching leadership. I've stayed pretty quiet on DA and his decisions with keeping the coaches like PC, but IMO he created this potential mess by not being able to select one coordinator and maintaining his hold on calling the defense during games. If we had one coordinator who was responsible for the play calling teams would not be able to poach him for a lateral move! What a mess and no fix in sight it seems!

If you were a defensive assistant for another team and just saw two defensive coaches get plucked up from the Saints for better jobs, why would you not want to take a DC job for the Saints? The defense is already good, and you aren’t going to be judged on the offensive performance if it’s no good.

Carmichael was even getting HC interviews when Payton was calling the plays, getting on a staff with a successful unit is a clear stepping stone to a better future in the NFL. The alternative is going be a DC on team that is bottom five in defense with no talent or prospects for a coach that has probably not created any bigger opportunities for their assistants.

Who knows, if he goes to the Dolphins and does well , he could be a potential head coaching candidate for the Saints?
I think he was on the Seattle staff that won a ring

So, nobody wants to interview any of our offensive staff? I wonder why.

If Richard goes to the Dolphins, does the Saints get an extra pick? Or is that for Executive positions on teams

Another thread that turns into its DA's fault....
Hey look, an assistant coach is being looked at for an opening on another team. Well, its all DA's fault that he has an interview.

Its probably DA's fault he didn't get the job too...
