As an aside, I bet if you or any other Saints blogger wrote a “What About Drew Brees For Head Coach?” article, it’d do numbers no matter which conclusion you reach

considering i just had to shoot down from multiple people a fake Facebook post about Drew signing as Head Coach, this is a given. If I wanted to be taken seriously as a blogger, I wouldn't make that article though.

No, but I do like Kubiaks demeanor. He was very discipline oriented during the off-season, and he got guys believing in that scheme. My biggest gripe is his offense had too many penalties. The discipline didn't show up in games

Drew is just being a nice guy. Kubiak did nothing to prove he could make a good head coach in the NFL.

He made a case to prove he isn't a good offensive coordinator.

All I know is that all thru the offseason, preseason and then after the first couple games, all I wished for was for Kubiak to somehow be named the head coach. It wasn’t until injury apocalypse did the fan base turn on him. No OC could win with what we had this season.

About a month ago we had a poster here post some BS that was AI generated about Gayle giving AK, Brees and Taysom 5 million dollar Christmas "gifts". Claiming he couldn't share the link because it was from a SR.com rival Facebook group... Facebook has been flooded with AI generated nonsense for a few years now. Sadly, there is not enough people trying to help our older generation break away from Facebook as a source of information. I seriously have to have a Scam talk with my mother every few months to make sure she understands to stop trusting things she sees on facebook.

Yeah, it seems like he’s always channelling his inner Belichick. The thing that utterly kills my confidence & belief in Kubiak is his ability, or seemingly LACK THERE OF, to ID what defenses are doing to slow down his offense & make in game adjustments to counter attack what opponents are doing. I mean, when it’s rollin, its rollin, but the very instant it hits a bump, its off the rails & on to the rocks.

Interesting comments by Drew. I would never discount anything he might say. But he doesn't have the job of picking the next head coach. This means that he doesn't have a great deal of information on all of the coaching candidates, that he can allow emotion and his past relationships to the candidates to sway his opinions, and that he won't suffer any adverse consequences if the hiring turns out poorly.

He likes Aaron Glenn. So apparently do others in the building. Going into any interviews, Loomis and others on Airline already have a strong opinion on what kind of head coach Aaron Glenn would be. Given the choices of the known and the unknown, people typically opt for the known.

drew is more in tune with the players, the coaching staff, the front office/executive staff, and ownership more so than nearly anybody else in this country. there is no greater of an opinion to be had.

Curious, I find above intriguing as Brees hasn't been around the team much in 3+ years, just wonder if you have a source for this great beacon of information.....

I’m not sure I like KK’s offense

I like the run scheme, but I not sure how well the passing scheme works. Although I think the biggest issue is that the play calling isn't good once he gets off the scripted plays and he doesn't make good enough adjustments. Too often he failed to find ways to adjust when teams were zero blitzing Rattler.

It would be nice if Drew would come in and be our QB Coach/Assistant OC, at least for a few years to help restore a winning culture.
He can bring back the pre game "Win-Win-Win" Chant and make the team better just by being part of it, IMHO.

If Drew had aspirations to be a coach he would be. But frankly the man gets to spend time with his kids. I dont get the obsession with Drew being a coach. Not you in particular, just the general fan base's obsession.
