I feel optimistic about DT Bryan Bresee "Breakout" Campaign in his second year.
I have him at 8 sacks this year.

He is young, energetic and explosive with outstanding quickness and versatility. His motor is turned all the way [UP]

With the addition of Chase Young he will be facing more 1-on-1s and there is no offensive lineman that will be able to block him.

Bresee and Chase are going to be a problem for QBs on third down. Sacks are nice, but two very large human beings coming at you with speed will force some bad decisions.

I also should have added tackles for loss & QB pressures because his impact will be instrumental for the defensive line this season.

I voted 10. The pressure off the edge will drive a lot of sacks right into his arms this year. Plus, his snap count will be way up from last season.

I put 6. I didn't want to get overly enthusiastic, so I went with six. But I expect 7-8. I expect he'll also have some TFL's too. Young and Granderson will be big factors in creating more one-on-one's for Bresee.

I’ll be happy with 5. Based on DA’s comments the only thing that will hold him back is health/availability/conditioning. Sky is the limit for him.

The key for Bresee this year will be how much he improves as a run stopper in the middle. During the pre season he appeared to be doing a much better job holding his own on run plays. If he can do both and stay on the field for longer stints this year I think the guy can be a pro bowl caliber player in the middle who gets 7 or 8 sacks!

6 sacks is actually great production for a Defensive Tackle. Only 12 IDL finished with 6 or more sacks in 2023.

He was a disturbance last year and he's only going to get better.

I understand this is a saints forum but DTs don’t get many sacks. It’s more realistic he’s in the 3 range
