The key for Bresee this year will be how much he improves as a run stopper in the middle. During the pre season he appeared to be doing a much better job holding his own on run plays. If he can do both and stay on the field for longer stints this year I think the guy can be a pro bowl caliber player in the middle who gets 7 or 8 sacks!

It would be great for him to have a Pro-Bowl caliber year! I think it would definitely boost his confidence tremendously.

Then opposing teams would have to gameplan for him each week.

I understand this is a saints forum but he only had 1 last year. DTs don’t get many sacks. It’s more realistic he’s in the 3 range

I don’t think Cam is going to have a “comeback” year while taking snaps at DT. I see Bresee getting double teamed often.

I really don’t like cam Jordan kicking inside to 3 tech, Bresee has to move to nose tackle and take double teams when he’s better than cam Jordan as a pass rusher at this part of his career. Sorry but cam is nothing more than a base strong side defensive end now.

I agree, I think that Cam's best fit is still outside. I'm not sure he's a better interior rusher than Shep.

Agreed, he isn’t honestly. Please don’t ruin Bresee’s progress to appease cam Jordan.

I agree, he’s not winning from the interior and he wasn’t really doing it during camp either

Carolinas offensive style of play doesn't lend to excessive stats for Defensive tackles. Maybe the Atlanta game you'll see significant statistical output for Bresse

They don't run well...they don't pass well, but their QB is mobile...in the midst of all their failed pass plays and failed run plays ain't much for defenders to rack up stats against. I want to say they didn't complete a pass until the 2nd quarter.

I know he was responsible for the OL’s confusion on who to pick up when A’Lawrence Taylor got his second sack. Two different Panthers’ OL passed him off but neither was quick enough to get back to Taylor.
