8 sacks from the interior is no joke
He hustles to get back in the play no matter where it has gone...He is the only bright spot on our D-Line i enjoying watching
He also has the most sacks this season for our Saints.
I hope Bryan Young can light the pilot light in Foskey because I don't see any potential thus far.Bresee had a solid campaign. I'd like to see him improve as a FB player because there's more to the game than just getting sacks. With that being said, I do believe his lack of overall development was due to Todd Grantham. No one on the defensive line this year played up to their potential, UNTIL Grantham was demoted in Brian Young was put into place as the DL Coach.
I'm also willing to bet that's the reason Foskey hasn't shown development.
Based on what we saw Bresee is capable of being a high end superstar if he's developed properly. He absolutely needs to be a focal point when things are being discussed w/ the new coaching staff.
He's going to be an every down problem by his 4th yearI hope Bryan Young can light the pilot light in Foskey because I don't see any potential thus far.
Bresee is my favorite defensive player on our defense but he still requires development.
I want him to make the Pro-Bowl next year. He's going to be an every down problem by his 4th year
I agree. He missed a lot of developmental time at Clemson due to injury/illness/personal issues. These long legged DT's take a little time to figure it out. Heck, Chris Jones didn't breakout until his third year. He's going to be an every down problem by his 4th year
Sadly, he is woefully limited against the run. As of now he is rated LAST in run D. That is NOT a Pro Bowl future.
I agree and it's probably due to lack of development. Let's me honest here, at least a 1/3 of his sacks are from stunts as he's the looping defender that comes free. Some of his 1 on 1 rush situations leave something to be desired along w/ his lack of ability against the run.Sadly, he is woefully limited against the run. As of now he is rated LAST in run D. That is NOT a Pro Bowl future.
Context, PFF especially when it comes to grading DT is just not that accurate. It's either win the rep or lose the rep. You get a sack it's just a winning rep you block a FG it's just a won rep, you batt a pass down you maybe win the rep. PFF can be helpful but it's not the say all doo all in grading a player especially a DTSadly, he is woefully limited against the run. As of now he is rated LAST in run D. That is NOT a Pro Bowl future.
