N/S Eagles trade CJ Gardner Johnson to the Texans (7 Viewers)

I mention Chuck Noll because Loomis a year ago said that he had faith in DA because maybe he's a Chuck Noll or other generational coaches, who had poor first seasons as a HC. That comment did not age well when Gayle walked right past Mickey and pushed DA off the boat.

I mention Grupe's miss because the team went from 2-0 to herpa derpa at that point and after. So, do stats really matter once your season is no longer viable? They had a chance later in the year to recover, but Moreau drops the GW pass against Jacksonville, and that was that. That was also the season that the Saints got HOT late beating bad teams, and blueballing the fans again.
The 2023 team was still in playoff contention in the last week of the season (we finished tied for first and if TB had lost the last game of the season we would've been in the playoffs ) so it's ludicrous to act like the season was over after the week 7 game versus JAX when we fell to 3-4 which was not an insurmountable deficit in our terrible division.

I can simultaneously believe Dennis Allen was a bad coach AND that CJ was not some invaluable stud and that there is a reason the guy's never made a pro bowl despite being on several playoff teams (plenty of decent-but-not-great players have piggybacked a great team season into a pro bowl appearance) and there's a reason teams are fine with letting him walk/trading him.

I like Becton, but some mid-level Guard from the Vikings just got $18 million AAV from the Colts. The Market at Guard is apparently now booming and could price us out of the Becton market.

I still don't want to do it, but if $18 million is the price for a good Guard in the NFL then maybe taking a guy like Will Campbell who might end up playing Guard at #9 isn't completely crazy?
Imo every position is now booming and over priced.

What's the over/under on how long before CJGJ starts throwing shade at the Eagles and their fans now that he's with another new team?

I say 6 hours.

We'll disagree when in 2023 the Saints were truly eliminated from playoff contention by their play or their record. Though correct me if I'm wrong, Tampa at 9-8 was the only team with a winning record that the Saints beat.

Is CJ Garder another Brandon Cooks? Very talented player, but no team wants to keep him because of his personality?
I don’t think they are on the same level as players skill wise but the tenacity and nastiness makes him a good defender but he’s not irreplaceable you put him and alonte on the board im taking alonte
