He suggests trading away our stars for draft capital (which would put us in a worse cap situation)

When in reality the team was 9-8 (winning record) and close to making ththe playoffs.

Guy needs to find a new job
 
So, not really anything about:

• which players were retained
• which players were let go
• who retired
• any coaching changes
• how the team drafted
• what reports out of OTAs/minicamp are saying

But typical salary cap bellyaching by yet another “sports journalist” who has convinced himself that having a ton of cap space is how you win football games.
 
It’s mid June.
The NBA Finals just ended.
The Stanley Cup will be decided in a week.
There is nothing else to fill the time on the networks/sites except for opinion pieces about the upcoming season until August.
