I kinda assumed the same thing since our medical team did a physical on him and found the lymphoma. If he would have passed the physical they would have announced the signing the next day.

That’s what I was hoping they’d do. Get him under their medical, his family is local anyway, and bonus locks him in when he can return.

I see this as a signing already

I see the same with it being done as well. I’m thinking they’re ironing out the contract details, based on Foster being placed on NFI while undergoing treatment, and signing will maybe be announced soon. Pretty incredible to be able to stay home and join the team that help save his life during the first visit.

I think this would be a great signing For both parties. Foster would def be loyal to the Saints for saving his life and also having faith in him to return to the game. Also it might help with his insurance for treatments.

In case anyone was wondering how well athletes can come back from Hodgkin's lymphoma, consider US Greco-Roman wrestler Jeff Blatnick. Blatnick was diagnosed in 1982. In 1984, he became the first American wrestler to win the heavyweight gold medal at the Summer Olympics.
Consider that Blatnick's lymphoma was caught later than Moreau's, and that treatment has likely advanced considerably in 40 years ( @sammymvpknight ?).
