I kinda assumed the same thing since our medical team did a physical on him and found the lymphoma. If he would have passed the physical they would have announced the signing the next day.My guess is that they had a deal done already before the derailment.
I see this as a signing alreadyWow!! Good to see he's fighting. Maybe we do sign him and place him on the non-football injury list until after he's healthy enough to play again.
That’s what I was hoping they’d do. Get him under their medical, his family is local anyway, and bonus locks him in when he can return.I know they earn a lot of money, but could signing him also place him under contract so it would kick in some type of medical insurance either through the team or NFLPA, while also keeping his rights with the saints if he is able to come back?

I see the same with it being done as well. I’m thinking they’re ironing out the contract details, based on Foster being placed on NFI while undergoing treatment, and signing will maybe be announced soon. Pretty incredible to be able to stay home and join the team that help save his life during the first visit.I see this as a signing already
