Favorite Childhood Books (2 Viewers)

I don't remember having a favorite book to read when I was a kid, I didn't read much, and growing up no one read to me. But my favorite book to read to my boys (and still have it):

Nah, I'll stick with Thomas Truxtun, Commander of the USS Constellation. Truxtun was on escort duty, which he hated. One of the ships had issues, and Truxtun signaled the merchantman "If you do not learn how to better handle your Ship and follow our Motions, I shall fire into you"

I got hooked on science fiction at a very young age and started reading Asimov when still i grade school.

My all-time favorites are Isaac Asimov’s books, especially the Foundation series and the intertwined Robot series. His ability to create intricate, thought-provoking universes has always captivated me.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Asimov’s writing, not just his science fiction but also his insightful political essays. His essay collection, The Roving Mind, is an exceptional read that truly highlights his prescience and depth of understanding.

Asimov was a staunch advocate for personal freedoms, but he also emphasized the responsibilities that come with them—particularly in a democratic society. For him, an informed and educated public was the cornerstone of a thriving democracy.

A book from 1978 whose subject matter is not homosexuality? Not likely.

I know. You can't help yourself. Neither can I.
