Article Florio calls out NFL for not fixing the problem that Saints fans know all-too-well (2 Viewers)

Guess who missed another obvious call that could have cost a team the win? Vinovich missed the call of a sack on Baker Mayfield. He was looking right at it.
That guy is bought and paid for.

I'm not joking. I really believe he's either on the take or being extorted (or both). Nobody in a referee's uniform is that blind.

Yeah, I'm still bitter.

Never been the same since that day. Sometimes I remember it, like now, and get pissed all over again.

100%... And beyond Pete's total F-up

1. 28-3 - If the ATL does not go brain dead and just in fact kneels on the ball during the entire 4th quarter no ring for Brady
2. The "tuck rule" is invented and Brady suddenly does not fumble away the game.. Another no ring for Brady
3. Even their win over Carolina... Jake Delhomme ties the game with 45 seconds left only to have their kicker kick the ball OOB... This may be a stretch but certainly not one proving brady's greatness

So that is at least 3 rings that Brady backs into while Drew is screwed out of 1 for sure and has 2011 in his hip pocket only to have our defense go brain dead... Minny Miracle?? maybe.. but Philly was really good... Would have been nice to find out...

Now add in the divisions.. The AFCE was historically horrible with the Jets, Dolphins and Bills during his tenure while the NFCS had each team reach the SB during Drew's tenure

2 consecutive years with the worst defense in THE HISTORY of the NFL while Drew was throwing for 4,500 yards +

And as stated Goodell guts the team when we were reaching our peak

For all of these reasons I will forever state

DB = GOAT and it's not even close

Don't forget all of the -Gates that Brady is linked to. Not a single one of their SBs is clean.

Brady also has that witch doctor as his PT/nutritionist.

The circumventing of the salary cap through the dealings of Kraft and renting out a building to QB12 below fair market rates so Brady could take less salary and look like he was taking one for the team.

Brady is the most tainted "GOAT" there is.

And let's remember, the AFC East had zero franchise QB's other than Brady for 20 freaking years. Magically now that Brady's done the Josh Allen's and Tua's show up. At the same time Brees is in a division with Ryan and Newton who each somehow win an MVP award.

And, guess who is the referee for this year’s Super Bowl. The one, the only, Bill Vinovich.

The NFL doesn't remove the ability for human error because human error makes money. A flawed product is ideal.

A former colleague was in the process of designing something and he was told by people that wanted to pick it up, that he needed to make a certain part on the design cheaper, so that it breaks and people have to get that part or purchase a new one.

Refs don't get paid a lot, and they won't make them full time.

Now you know why lol.
$205,000 per year

The official salary for NFL referees has not been disclosed, but as of 2019, it was reported that NFL referees make an average of $205,000 per year. NFL referees do not get paid by a per game basis. Instead they get paid a flat rate each season.

They don't get paid a lot??

Where can I find a job that doesn't pay a lot like that?

The NFL"s alliance with all the betting company's is complicit in much of this. Too much gambling money relies on who wins the game, and the refs are either in on it or grossly incompetent. Either way I don't trust the results.
They are absolutely in on it - they have to get supplemental in come from somewhere. And if you think NBA ref Tim Donahue went to prison all those years ago bc he solely was the only one fixing games, I've got a bridge to sell you.

It still burns my biscuits and probably always will.

A big part of me died that awful day. I already didn't trust the league to do right by the Saints but that was especially cruel. And I especially feel bad for Drew and what it did to his legacy. As crappy as this season went, I can tell you I am not as fully invested emotionally and financially as I used to be.

I can't believe this Vinovich tool has been rewarded. Scratch that. I totally get this Vinovich tool has been rewarded.

But he'd better watch his butt and be more careful.

Now that legalized gambling is so pervasive, with so much money at stake, FBI gonna be watching his deposits.
