For Drew Brees To Be Considered One Of The Best NFL QB Of All Time (2 Viewers)

By the way, his book is GREAT! I read it in a span of less than 24 hours.

Inspiring and humorous, it not only taught me a lot about his struggles, but reminded me of some of the best times in the past four years of the Saints.

2 more normal years and he's in the HOF. One more Super Bowl and he's top 5 all-time. It would be hard to pass Montana, particularly because of his postseason stats, but a couple more Super Bowls would put Drew up there with him on top.

How anyone can question whether or not Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time is beyond me
I AGREE
Peyton Manning has only won 12 games 7 years in a row. If he win's 12 games this year it will be a new record in the NFL,IMO he will be close to owning every record by A QB when he retire's..now that being said i think with Drew as the Saints QB,we'll have a chance to win it all every year,Drew will be mentioned with all the great one's when he retire's..IMO thats all you can ask for.

GOAT sure would be nice, but I'm totally cool with having one of the best in the game currently. How many years have we as fans dreamt of having a QB even half as good as Manning? How crazy is it that we have someone who's nearly as good, if not equal, and perhaps even better at the moment? Just crazy enough, I say.

Greatest of all time means GREATEST of ALL time, and there have been some pretty outstanding guys who came before, all of whom mentioned here. For Brees to be considered hands down the GREATEST of ALL time, he'd need another 3 Super Bowl MVP's. Anything less and it'd be an argument, but not a guarantee. He's great, probably greatest right now (last year, expected for this year) but ALL time? He's not there yet, and needs a ton more hardware to get there.

Two or three Superbowl Championships in a row will get everyone's attention the quickest, considering how tough it is to repeat these days.

Just for clarification;

Are we talking Hall of Fame or Greatest of All time?

There's a difference I think.

Among the greatest, but will never be considered *the* greatest until the .500 post-season record improves.

Fair or not, he's labeled as a choke artist in the post-season.

Many, including me, don't feel he was the MVP of his SB win. [RBs should have been co-MVP]

in addition to an MVP and another SB ring, what would really seal Brees legacy as one of, if not the greatest, would be a monster clutch performance in a huge game like the SB. (ie SB winning drive with 1 min left)

All of the greatest have their "moments". Brees needs a few and its a done deal IMO.

True, they just give QBs the MVP a lot of the time. Eli Manning shouldn't have won the MVP in SB 42 either, it should have been Tyree with his TD catch and then helmet catch. Manning shouldn't have won his last 2 NFL MVPs but the media feels the need to crown him whenever possible because god knows 9 times out of 10 he's going to blow it in a big game and he needs them to prop him up.
