Quite a crowd for the 1st practice sessions. Love the atmosphere. They are going to go insane if Max wins pole tomorrow.

Max on pole - I think they say there are 70k people there? Crazy. Both Williams spun into the barriers.

I love this circuit with the banked turns and narrow lines, should be exciting tomorrow. The lines in some of the turns are surprising, turn 3 especially wheee they drive up the bank and then diamond it off back to the left - but it just looks like they miss the turn (it’s obviously the line but just looks funny).

I think there’s gonna be some carnage tomorrow.

Drivers all seem to be in good sprints and enjoying the track a lot. And the crowds and nice weather. Looks like a lot of fun over there.

Sector 3 of Hamilton’s last lap was incredible. Like on a whole other level. Going to be a very interesting race if Max and Lewis can stay on the track.

Honestly, except for a couple of races, I was mostly underwhelmed with the F1 competition this season.

There’s still about 10 races left, I think. Could go down to the wire between Hamilton and Verstappen.

Last two races have been lame, though, can’t argue with that.

Yeah, I'll still check them out, but, Nascar is far more interesting to me. I guess everyone likes their thing. I like a lot of racing, but I gotta pick and choose a bit.

So qualifying today at Monza in the sprint format saw Bottas win - but with a new powerplant means he starts at the rear. Max ran second, will start on pole with the pair of McLarens between him and Lewis, who ran fifth today.

Should be a very interesting race tomorrow.
