FA Free Agency is About to Start (1 Viewer)

How many more restructures do we need just to be cap compliant?

I'm always more worried about having the money available to sign the FA's.

i'm more curious about what team will sign which player ,i know we aren't going to get something useful because of our cap situation
Chin up. Even though the Saints can't afford to go shopping early in free agency and sign the top tier talent, they've done a good job shopping in the bargain bin. They tend to make the most out of their nickels.

We could get there with just two, Ramczyk and Kamara. They may be looking to spread the restructures elsewhere, but we have the contracts to get under the cap this year.

We need about $15m in space, here are the top five simple restructures available (no void years added):

Ramczyk $11.8m
Kamara $8.1m
Davis $8.1m
Hill $6.6m
Mathieu $5.8m

I think the approach should be to get compliant, and then after first round of FA, restructure based on moves you “want” to make.

Like when Drew was willing to restructure to make the Suh signing work, it was available to do, push never came to shove.

We should, start taking our medicine w/ some of these contracts. Don’t need to…but should

I’d like a couple of serviceable OLs just to stop having my QB being injured and that’s it. At this point I’d love to see Loomis building through the draft and fixing the finances without any splash in free agency chasing a useless one and done.

Why are the Dolphins letting Christian Wilkins hit FA without tagging him? I know money is tight, but you at least have to try.

Given Ram's knee, not sure I would want to restructure him. However, they may not have a choice based on other potential moves they may want to make.

It seems that the risk is less than usual. Peat? Thomas? Roach? Graham?
Reading the tea leaves I don't think Thomas and Graham are coming back and Roach has a major injury so I don't expect much of a market for him.

Yiadom and Baun are the two I'm most concerned about potential interest in, along with Peat. Can't believe those are the three.
