FA Free Agency is About to Start (1 Viewer)

These are the FA TE's they have left that haven't been signed yet.

Free Agent TE's:

Logan Thomas- TE, Commanders (Age-32)
C.J. Uzomah- TE, Jets (Age-31)
Hayden Hurst- TE, Panthers (Age-30)
Robert Tonyan Jr.- TE, Bears (Age-29)
Mercedes Lweis- TE, Bears (Age-39)
Geoff Swaim- TE, Cardinals (Age-30)
Ross Dwelley- TE, 49"ers (Age-29)
Kenny Yeboah- TE, Jets (Age-25)
MyCole Pruitt- TE, Falcons (Age-31)

Blake Bell- TE, Chiefs (Age-32)
Nick Vannett- TE, Chargers (Age-31)
Josiah Deguara- TE, Packers (Age-27)

Jesper Horsted- TE, Raiders (Age-27)
Mitchel Wilcox-TE, Bengals (Age-27)
Ben Ellefson- TE, Vikings (Age-27)
Shane Zylstra- TE, Lions (Age-27)
Brycen Hopkins- TE, Rams (Age-26)
Brandon Dillon- TE, Commanders (Age-26)
Brady Russell- TE, Seahawks (Age-25)
David Wells- TE, Bucs (Age-28)

I would definitely try to bring in Ross Dwelley of the 49'ers since he has experience in Kubiak's offense. I also like Mitchell Wilcox from the Bengals.

Switching to the defensive side of the ball, here is a list of DT's & NT's that are still out there and could be had for cheap. I would like to see the Saints sign another DT or NT for depth in the rotation. You have to keep the big doggs fresh to stay effective at pushing the pocket and stopping the run, especially late in the game and the score is close.

Free Agent Defensive Tackles:

Austin Johnson- DT/NT, Chargers (Age-29)
Bryan Mone- NT, Seahawks (Age-28)
Teair Tart- DT, Texans (Age-27)
Rakeem Nunez-Roches- DT, Giants (Age-30)
Taven Bryan- DT, Colts (Age-28)
Hassan Ridgeway- DT, Texans (Age-29)
Lawrence Guy- DT/NT, Patriots (Age-33)
Sebastian Joseph-Day- NT/DT 49'ers (Age-28)
Al Woods- DT, Jets (Age-36)
David Bada- DT, Commanders (Age-28)
Linval Joseph- NT, Bills (Age-35)
Josh Tupou- NT, Bengals (Age-29)
Johnathan Hankins- NT, Cowboys (Age-31)
Derick Nnadi- DT/NT Chiefs (Age-27)
Nick Williams- DT, Chargers (Age-34)
Chris Wormley- DT, Panthers (Age-30)
Marlon Davidson- DT, Titans (Age-25
Ross Blacklock- DT, Titans (Age-25)
James Lynch- DT, Vikings (Age-25)
Jonathan Harris- DT, Broncos (Age-27)
Larrell Murchison- DT, Rams (Age-26)
Albert Huggins- DT, Falcons (Age-26)
Renell Wren- DT/NT, Steelers (Age-28)
Khyiris Tonga- NT/DT, Vikings (Age-27
Curtis Brooks- DT, Commanders (Age-26)
P.J. Mustipher- NT, Saints (Age-24)
T.J. Smith- DT, Vikings (Age-26)
Jordan Phillips- NT, Bills (Age-31)
Mike Purcell- NT, Broncos (Age-32)

I would really like to see the Saints re-sign Mustipher. This is a young talent that the Saints can develop. Our defense needs to get younger.

With the signing of Chase Young, the Saints can scratch DE off of their list. Now this doesn't mean they won't draft one this year. They just won't be forced to draft one in the 1st round. The Saints can go BPA, and if it's DE, OT TE then that's still great even if they still pick a DE. I would like to see them draft Fuaga with #14. I also like the Oli Udoh signing. It looks like it had Kubiaks fingerprints all over it.

Since we already signed our DE Young, I won't put out a list of FA DE's that are still out there on the market. I won't be putting out a LB list either since we signed already signed Gay. I'll be getting a list of FA CB's and Safety's together.

Here is a pretty extensive list of CB's that are still on the FA market. Some of these guys are expensive, even the older CB's.
These are the top CB's and what it would cost to sign them.

This is the best of the rest.

Bopete Keyes- CB, Browns (Age-26)
John Reid- CB, Vikings (Age-27)
Chris Williamson- CB, Titans (Age-26)

That's a lot of FA CB's. I wonder how many won't make a team this season?

Here is the list of all the FA Safeties that are left. It is pretty extensive, just like the CB's list. These are the top free agent safeties and what it cost to sign them. There only 2 that they consider the top Safeties to give the big contracts to. I see at least 5-6 that would warrant good contracts and money.

Free Agent Safeties:

Justin Simmons- FS, Broncos (Age-30) Calculated Market Value- 2-Year $22.2M. Base Calculated Value- 2-Year $21.1M.
Micah Hyde- SS, Bills (Age-33) Calculated Market Value- 1-Year $3.7M. Base Calculated Value- 1-Year $4.6M.

Best of the rest:

Jamal Adams- SS, Seahawks (Age-28)
Eddie Jackson- FS, Bears (Age-30)
Quandre Diggs- FS Seahawks (Age-31)
Tracy Walker- FS, Lions (Age-29)
Marcus Maye- FS, Saints (Age-30)
Jayron Kearse- SS, Cowboys (Age-30)
Adrian Phillips- FS, Patriots (Age-31)
Nick Scott- SS, Bengals (Age-28)
Tashaun Gipson- FS, 49'ers (Age-33)

The Saints were quiet the past couple of day. I don't think they're quite done in FA yet. We still need to plug holes on the O-Line and D-Line and at Safety. There is still some talent left out there, I hope we see another signing soon. It probably won't be until next week. These signings will be for depth.

As many teams that need secondary help, It's crazy how many CB's and Safeties are still out there on the FA Market. I would bring in FS Justin Simmons on a 1yr. contract to help mentor Howden for another year. I would also look for a decent Slot CB too.
There are a lot of really solid options remaining! I can't believe how little KC got for Snead. That should end any talk of us getting decent comp for Latt out there.
I'd take plenty of the safety options, really like Blackmon, the former Colt. He's been making the rounds but hasn't signed yet...

Guy has had one of the strangest careers I have ever seen. Produced everywhere he’s gone, never given the opportunity to be featured.

Dude always looked like a star anytime he got fed the rock.

Size, speed, vision, tackle breaking ability, consistent 4+ yards per carry, but no one would ever let him be “the guy.”

Same here, I was disappointed when MI left and we signed him. I knew he could run the ball but didn't think he was dynamic like MI (receiving and pass pro).....I was wrong, he made an impact despite limited touches....in games where he was the feature back he really produced.....

I would really like to see the Saints go after Jennings, he's younger and gets open more often than Kirkwood, He's a better downfield blocker in the run game and he can go up and make the contested catch.

I couldn't agree more, he will be a lot cheaper than Boyd I believe.....he is the type of vet we need in the group....

At this point, im hoping we bring back Peat. Or take a swing at someone like Andre Dillard. Both guys fit the athletic profile that Kubiak seems to favor at OT.

Jennings would cost the Saints their second round pick plus a contract worth more than $5mil/yr. He was effectively off the market once he signed his RFA tender.

Oh, thanks for the info....nevermind....
