Fujita retires as a Saint (3 Viewers)

I swear, if I wasn't married (and he wasn't married), I'd propose to Scott.

Always was a Saint in my book. Especially since he was one of the first, if not the first FA to sign in 2006.

He was part of the turnaround. Even though bigger things would eventually come the team's way, that 2006 Saints team will always have a special place in my heart. From the Haslett holdovers who finally got to experience some success, to that fantastic 2006 rookie class, and yes, to the FAs who came our way (the likes of Fujita, Terrance Copper, and Scott Shanle).......they all played a part in the turnaround, somehow......even if some didn't hang around long enough for the eventual Super Bowl win.

Thank you, Scott Fujita. :worthy:

Man that is awesome. He is one of my all time favorite Saints not for only what he did on the field but for always being a class act and a great ambassador for New Orleans when we really needed it.

I'm really not one that cries easily, but this picture literally brought tears to my eyes.

Courageously stood up to Roger and was exonerated. What he's doing with Gleason's organization is inspirational. Proud to have you as a Saint forever. You're a hero, Scot and you can eat Oreos faster than........ANYBODY !!!

From the article:
That’s a fact that’s often overlooked when people reflect on the bounty scandal. While all suspensions were overturned, Fujita was fully and completely exonerated.

This can't be stated enough times. Many people will not remember this unless reminded.

He did come back and beat us with Cleveland two years ago. That game might have cost us a NFC south title. LOL.

None of that matters tho. Fujita has done wonders for our team and city. He deserves this. And the way he stuck it o Roger Baddell was awesome. Good luck in his retirement.

I like Fujita as a football player, hate his political opinions

But his political opinions don't really matter in the end....he's a Saints foremost, and that is undeniable.

I loved him as a player, and I admire him as a person. To help his teammate Gleason, shows a level of class we all strive to achieve!

I tip my hat in front of this Saint......:worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Worthy of all our praises!

So glad that Scott will retire as a Saint. Got to meet him a few times when he was playing here via work and he always was so nice and upbeat. Not a surprise that he has gone all in with his support of Team Gleason.

Best of luck to him and his family.

Great move, love Fujita. Even more so now with all the worth he is doing with Steve / Team Gleason.

Also- where can I get that shirt? I need one of those

I wish Scott the best in his retirement. I could only hope to retire at that age! haha.

It's amazing that we have so many players come here for a relatively short amount of time and the city/team stays in their blood.

Take Heath Evans for example. I watched him on the NFL Network schedule release show, constantly referring to the Saints as "we." "We play Atlanta in week one," etc.

Same thing with Sharper.

These guys were both here for like 2 years!

Agree about Evans, but can not agree about Sharper. He takes every shot at the Saints that he can.

The team needs to create a defensive assistant position for him if there isn't one available. Always loved Fujita (except for that one game two years ago).

scott has said he wants to be a HS teacher after he retires
interestingly enough i teach at the HS that Drew Brees donated a football field and weightroom
so Mr Fujita, when you come back and stroll through this email, pm me - i'll see what i can do...
