Caught one under a fingernail years ago....mine get cut

I’ve caught them under the nail cut and uncut before. Probably a me problem.

My friend who taught me how to play, back in like 1983 tried this (he always trimmed them, but saw some player he liked on MTV or something that didn't).....lasted less than an hour....he was like, I couldn't stand the mess....

I tend to leave em like that for a week or so until it bothers me enough to get the clippers and cut them. It’s mostly a lazy thing, but I’m apparently psychotic so it’s kinda nice to know guitar strings are the culprit.

I think that our generation and the generation before us had a tad bit of spider monkey in us. I can remember people shooting up and down those ropes as easy as walking down a sidewalk. Then something happened to everyone.
