Kendre Miller reminds me of another RB for the Saints whose career was derailed by injuries, Rueben Mayes.

Granted, Mayes actually put up the numbers that Miller hasn't.

5-yr career for the Saints, didn't play in 89 due to an Achilles, retired in 91, then returned in 92 for 2 unremarkable seasons in Seattle, averaged 4.1 ypc for the Saints.

This years feels like preseason games with reserves and practice squad coming in to play to make a roster.

At this point, it basically is a long preseason for 2025. But yeah, it does seem that way when you look at the gameday rosters.

Not for a a RB that can’t get on the field in year 2. Maybe a late round pick swap. Our best bet is to just hang onto him for the last two years and hope he comes around.

To trade Miller right now would be very foolish.
1st, yes he is having a hard time staying on the field, BUT, he has shown very good flashes of what he can be.
2nd , he is on and will be on a rookie contract for 2 more yrs. To cut bait on a player that has shown those kind of flashes is just dumb, Now if he stays hurt all or most of 25 then he's and injury prone player and you have to strongly consider cutting ties

No one would trade for him. Why would they? Saints will probably cut him next year.

If we IR Miller now, maybe he’ll be recovered by next season.

The sad thing is if we keep him he’ll stay what he is, an often injured RB that rarely see’s the field. If we cut him he’ll go somewhere and have a decent/good career.

I’m done with Miller. Really good player, but not someone I want to rely on moving forward.

He’s talented enough to be a number 2, so naturally he’s holding down a number 2 RB roster spot essentially when we would be better off drafting or paying someone else (not named Jamaal Williams) to hold it down next year.

Move on. Maybe he shines elsewhere, but his time here is up.
