GAMEDAY THREAD: Eagles at Saints 9/22/24 (2 Viewers)

The only way to look at it I’m afraid. I get everyone will point at Hill and McCoy missing but if 2 injuries are going to torpedo the offense that badly then we’re going to struggle.
Mid game injury which can be better addressed during the week. And most teams don’t have the Eagles talent in front seven

I’m loving how the fans are jumping ship after a loss. lol We knew we weren’t going undefeated. Our o line underperformed today. Our defense was lackluster going against backup o linemen, down 2 starting WRs, and an aging RB.

I agree that it's not time to jump ship. But when your defense only gives up 15 points while creating two turnovers and spending most of the game on the field because the offense isn't moving the ball at all, then your defense has done its job.

DA’s defense lost this game. Him trying to show full pressure rather then a normal front and having players drop back into pressure screws DB’s paths up
Defense forced two turnovers, got two more on downs. They didn’t lose this game, the offense was horrid until they scored a TD and even then wasn’t spectacular. McCoy being out is a problem but we’ll see the prognosis and if necessary how they scheme around that. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruiz is the center next game.

Edit - that’s if Ruiz can go too. He was banged up himself.

It not jumping ship to criticize the team. When it comes down to it, it’s the way the lost, sos.

Who said to take a sack. Throw at the rb’s feet like he did 3 other times when pressure flashed immediately.
Probably really hard to make a decision like that on the fly with a lineman up in your face. If I'm not mistaken, he actually wanted to go there pulled it back right before and decided to throw it after the DL was almost in his face.

Not excusing the throw but it's probably a take a sack or throw a risky pass. Should have taken a sack with the timeout but it is what it is.

Instead of putting the Eagles in a tailspin going downward, we just saved their Head Coach's job and probably their season.
That might be a good thing, Sirriani is legitimately stupid. Just about everything that could’ve gone wrong for us offensively went wrong, and yet they struggled to win this game.

If hating is pointing out that he isn't a very good QB then sorry. We don't hate him but look at the entire body of work and tell us he's the answer to our playoff drought...

Dude was the league’s highest rated QB the final month of last season, and before today’s O-line debacle, he was the highest rated QB THIS season.

What do you guys want from this man???

A guy like Drew Brees ain’t walking through those doors again anytime soon, and likely, never.

The offense was scared to throw ,and running against such DL is dumb as hell
They deserve to lose this game

one injury and the season looks lost already ,what a joke

To be fair, the Eagles were giving up like 6 YPC on the ground before this game so planning to run on them made sense. The problem is they lost McCoy and Fangio pulled out that 5 man line with all that talent on it. You have to adjust, but it's really hard to change your entire game plan mid-game when you Center is out and the other team pulled out a completely different defense. Hopefully Kubiak learns from this.

Right. If the lineman wasn’t in his face, that’s probably a completion to Shaheed. He had his man beaten. That pressure caused Carr to misfire.

They did their job. The long play to get Philly in position was absolutely a fluke. With the party in the league, you're gonna win some and lose some of those. Just how it is. I'm not remotely worried yet.
