Breaking! Gayle Benson fires Dennis Allen; NOF sits down with Loomis to clarify if he agreed with firing Allen (page 54) (12 Viewers)

Don't think Mickey survives in the offseason. You can tell this is the first time ownership and him aren't in lockstep. His weird behavior, he's not taking this situation very well since ownership bypassed him and fired Allen. His lash out over a Jeff Duncan article he wrote this passed January about players parking in the wrong spots, hinting at a lack of attention to detail. Just comes off as someone lashing out, the non-stop defending Allen to the end is also very tone deaf and wierd.

Sean Fazende of Fox 8 on his podcast said that they were stopped at where the cafeteria construction was ongoing at the facility where 12 reporters got word Mickey was going to talk to them either on or off the record and didn't show up as if he cancelled it.
That you cited Duncan and Fazende in the same post tells me everything LOL

Your boss doesn’t email your direct employees employees if he/she has confidence you’re providing him/her with the correct and truthful information.

I’m actually surprised at the complete denial of facts from a couple posters here. From the reports of what happened to the actual way it happened nothing tells you Mickey had the slightest say so in this decision. I’m personally glad for that because most of what I had heard was Gayle not having much actual power when it came to football decisions. If this is true, I honestly have a lot more faith in them righting the ship. I have zero faith in Loomis though.
LOl you do realize that an NFL team and the relationship between GB and ML is NOT like the mgr of a Popeye's asking the fry cooks and the cashiers about their shift supervisors way of doing things? I'll bet big $$$ that ML knew GB was emailing players and was fine with it because he WAS going to fire DA at the end of the season.

No I said that 1st Underhill, the most respected person covering the Saints said he thought that ML was going to fire DA after the season in his podcast
Furthermore, EJW posted this from NOF
It wasn’t hard to decipher from Mickey Loomis’ initial statements that firing coach Dennis Allen was a decision the Saints general manager didn’t want to have to make.

But when asked by NewOrleans.Football if that means he disagreed with it, Loomis said, “It’s probably more difficult than disagree. My philosophy in general is that I don't see a lot of benefit in general from making changes in midstream. So that's probably where you read the hesitancy.”

When asked if that means the decision was made primarily by owner Gayle Benson, Loomis said, “No, I’m not gonna say that. It was an organization decision.”
2nd Please share the FACTS from some posters on here of what REALLY happened . SMH
