US citizens. I do real estate signings and the Patriot Act requires proof that you are a "United States citizen"

Yes, it's all kind of splitting hairs. It's easier to say "I am an American," and overseas you are like to be asked if you are an American.
Fair but I've certainly heard American citizen as well

But just conversationally?

Technically you can say people from Germany are German citizens but everyone just calls them Germans

Legal and official paperwork is one thing but informally I don't know how often US citizens is used

You’re probably eating flu eggs.

Eggs are ridiculously expensive. The only one who didn’t jack the price up to ridiculous amounts was Sprouts. Ralph’s (Kroger) has the cheap white ones for $10/dozen

I suspect Egg prices are much higher in Cali. I haven't see any here higher tht about $8 per dozen and those were the fancy organic, free range, XL eggs at Whole Foods. But, if you can find them, regular eggs are around $4 or $5. The issue here is largely about availability. There were only 3 dozen eggs in the store when I went this weekend.

at Walmart here in Prairieville, the walmart brand is $5.99 doz the other day.
I haven't bought eggs in a while, my parents have chickens and beg me to take eggs home everytime i go over there because they get so many... it took me a few times to convince my daughter (19) the brown eggs are the same as the white ones. she asked why they were a different color. she didn't believe me when i said white chickens lay white eggs and brown chickens lay brown eggs.

When we first relocated to Ohio in January 2023, we almost immediately hit it off with our awesome neighbors from Croatia. The husband owns a couple of very successful businesses, but like me, is a very simple man at heart. He and his family also have a small farm - a few acres where they grow corn and raise some cattle and fowl. They are very generous people and my wife and I haven’t paid for eggs since meeting them.
