So this song is everywhere. Facebook groups at work (that I'm only part of because I didn't want to be the jerk who declined joining) have people posting how awesome it is. I hate it. I'm a happy guy, too. If you haven't heard it, I'm sorry for not posting it. I don't want to find it though.

What do you think?

Tell you one thing, I like it a whole lot more than the song from Frozen that won the Academy Award. IMHO, Pharrell was robbed: "Happy" is a classic movie theme song.

Annoying after the 500th listen? You bet. What song, this side of Revolver, isn't?

Nevermind the song. What about the awful hat he wears when singing that song?

I liked it until they played it for the 50,000 time the first week it came out. Now its like rubbing a cheese grater on the side of my head.

love the song, and isn't he the guy who sings the "despicable me" songs? he puts out some catchy tunes and sweet rhythms, make a grown man wanna sing falsetto

He is actually a pretty big force behind the scenes in the music industry. This is just his breakthrough song that white, suburban mothers are aware of.

He was a member of the Neptunes, had his own rap duo with N.E.R.D, produced albums for Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dog, and even Michael Jackson IIRC. He co-wrote Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines". Dude has been a driving force in music (whether that is a good or bad thing I'll let each one make their own decision) since the early 2000's.

So are you saying we've finally found the guy to blame singularly for the fact that modern pop music is so horrible? Amazing! :ezbill:

The song has a great hook and a good melody(The music actually leans very heavily on a Ray Charles style melody)....but it will be beaten to death by overplay. This song will disappear forever after it's run. The price of being too popular.
