HOF Selections Announced (1 Viewer)

I wanted to see if that tweet meant that Jahri Evans did NOT make it. But it looks like McMichael, Hester, and Peppers are the first three names dropped out of a somewhat larger group who will be voted in this year.

If Hester gets in then surely Mel Gray has a shot
What about Steve Tasker of the Buffalo Bills? He was sort of the Devin Hester of the late 80's-mid 90's and a key ST gunner, halfway decent WR at times for the Bills in their legendary run of four consecutive SB appearances.

Strangely enough, what kind of hurt or sort of limited Hester's KO and punt returns was when the NFL competition committee passed a rule moving kickoffs from the 30-yard line to 35-yard line IIRC, in 2012. Plus, he wasnt the effective, most dangerous WR weapon like Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and Denver Broncos KO specialist/effective #2-#3 WR Rick Upchurch were during their respective careers.

Guess it’s safe to say the Bears will be one of the HOF preseason game participants this year.

Matthew Slater could be considered as a special teams rep.

Something to take into consideration when wondering why players aren't in the HOF. Voting is done by the media. A strong press corp in the players city = a stronger case for them getting in. Sure Gates and Evans should be in, however who in their respective media cities are going to make the case for them?

Denver and Indianapolis aren’t exactly media capitals either.
