Hot takes welcome (Merged) (4 Viewers)

We are not as bad as I thought we'd be.... But we're not as good as most thought we were after 2 games.... Our Oline is still weak, and has been schemed up nicely to mask that weakness against smaller Dlines... We still need more weapons on offense.... We lack depth, and are going to be one injury away from disaster on offense (like today) all year. The defense is still good enough to carry this team for 3 1/2 quarters of bad offensive football. We have enough good CBs... and Lattimore should be traded as soon as it makes sense from a cap standpoint to do so - for as many OL/WR/TE assets we can get for him.

It was not that at all. Those dudes played their tails off. That was a hard fought game we just came up short. McCoy getting hurt was critical. They’ll be better prepared next week, but this could really hurt us long term.

All the “love” gushed upon us by the talk shows, articles, etc… we got too big for our britches (as the old folks used to say). Oh, wait… I am old! 😳

We needed a kick in the arse 🦵 early in the season. Now… back to work!

:gosaints:
Yup sure did
Saints players and coaches were on all the shows and podcasts last week. Lol

Hot take? There’s only 5 undefeated teams left in the league. No need to panic.

Defense played elite in the first half.

Drew Brees was in the house.

He saw our defense force 2 turnovers and two additional turnovers on downs. He saw a blocked punt.

That man went through some historically bad defenses that hr had to carry.

We just lost a game in which we practically won the turnover battle 5-0 and lost at home.

I don’t need to look it up. I know Brees never would have lost this game.

Not really a hot take, just absolutely a choke job. We have Siriani trying his hardest to giftwrap this game to us for 3 straight quarters and we still find 6 different ways to blow it.
No joke! It's infuriating. The defense can't do it all!

Brees on his worst day would have won that game. That includes his 5 interception game against Atlanta.

What makes a team better than other teams is how they come back from a tough loss like this. It’s time to move on. I think we are were guilty of putting too much hype into the first two games.
