Hot Takes Welcome (Post Commanders Loss) (3 Viewers)

Sean Payton knew exactly what he was doing. This team does not need a tweak, it needs an overhaul.
So you’re saying Sean payton intentionally ran up the credit cards on sub par talent and bailed on us....

Best game of the year for the defensive line. On a side note, I loved it when Ridgeway pointed to the Washington sideline and then adjusted his cup. :)

I think if…IF…Rattler is the QB for the foreseeable future - you have to build the offense around him and that means a coordinator who will craft an offense that will play to his strengths.

It’s no shock to me that Rattler was able to come in, down 17 and do some solid things. It’s because, in my opinion, Kubiaks offense was limited due to being down 3 scores and that allowed Rattler to let it rip more.

We saw what Rattler did as a stater and it was overall unimpressive. I think Rattler and Kubiak are a bad fit. I think if Rattler is the guy, Kubiak has to go.

If Carr is the guy in 25’ Kubiak should stay.

Would be nice to employ a spy on a QB like that in those situations.
when you spy the QB you are playing with 10 men on defense. Rush lanes and gap integrity are what is really important

If Rattler hadn't come in we would have been shut out. Anyone thinking Haener is the better Qb is living in fantasy land
Where are all of the Haenerators on here that was posting last week? IMO, Haener never showed me anything. He has a 46.5% completion percentage, 171 total yards and a 46.2% rating compared to Rattler's 48.8 - 291- 77.6 for the 2 games that both played in.

A work friend is a Wash. and OK fan. He told me earlier he played golf and missed most of the game. When he came
to the clubhouse he saw Rattler taking snaps. He said it looks like the Saints realized their mistake lol

Saints defense had eight sacks against Washington on Sunday. But yet, Washington only punted 3 times. Washington was 9 for 17 on third down and 1 for 1 on fourth down. One would hope a sack kills a drive. But in this case, the Saints defense could not get off the field. Washington made a first downs on third and 8, 9, 9 and 14 yards. Defense has trouble with QB's who can run. Hopefully they can correct this next year.
I was actually proud of the defense. They were able to control the run and got constant pressure. Hiccups were expected but for most of the year, my main criticism has been that line who can't get any pressure or sacks and stopping the run. 20 points allow is nothing to be ashamed of. I wish the defense play like this all the time. We don't have Brees to fall back on and having the defense play like this all the times gives this team a chance every game.

we held Daniels to 66 yds rushing. If DA had still be HC it would have been a lot more Imho.

Fans, especially Saints fan needs to be patient. If the Packers and Bills and some other teams with good quarterbacks can be patient with their own, then we should too. Love was almost a bust. Seeing him started a few games with Rogers being out was pathetic. First half of last year of being a full time starter, he was very average. Now he is leading his team to the playoffs. Allen wasn't all that great his rookie year. Being a rookie, especially a quarterback, is hard enough. But having early high expectations are harder. What I saw yesterday was a rookie quarterback I have never seen before with this team. To come into a game with 2 quarters left to manage to almost win a game is no small feat. That's something a coach and the organization needs to build on.

Rattler might struggle the next game and people here will be down about him already. I don't expect him to play like he did yesterday. But if he shows some improvements and and able to make games competitive, then this organization has their future in their hands.

I tend to think you are right. But I think it's odd that KK was one of the people behind drafting Ratter and I also think it's odd that KK talked about how excited he was to create a game plan for Rattler but the game plans that he came up with seemed to be mostly the same stuff he did with Carr and wasn't very inventive. I know Rattler didn't play well when he got starts and there were lots of injuries too, but the game plan seemed overly conservative for Rattler especially against the Chargers.

And what's even more odd is that when Haener came in for Rattler in the Chargers game KK seemed to open up the offense and when Rattler came in for Haener in this game KK seemed to open up the offense.

We barely ran the ball first half. Then suddenly we start running the ball to help set up the pass in the second half.

I mean, I'll never understand why he's not giving Kendre Miller more touches when he is playing well. Instead he seems intent on wearing AK out in a meaningless season instead of finding out if Miller can stay healthy. And given how well Miller is playing it's not like giving Miller more touches would be giving up on the season.

In my opinion... Kendre has been running better than Kamara most of the season. Kamara was already beat up and worn down by week 8 and Kendre should be getting the bulk of the carries at this point in the season. I know Allen really had Kendre in a dog house so maybe that set him back in getting the trust from the rest of the staff?
