I don’t even know if he’s great at that he was special teams coach when our return men were fielding punts inside the 5. One cost us the falcons game.

The problem with Derek Carr is that he's doing too much where he doesn't need to. But when is the other way around, he doesn't have that sense of urgency.

Also, why doesn't the offense understand meaning of tempo, especially when they're down by a score?

And the biggest problem from today's loss we couldn't stop the run. It took literally one guy to take out the whole entire defense's confidence & swagger

It really hit me how I was so use to how Drew would command the field and take charge and be in the position to make the plays and all that is missing with Carr….the Saints achieved that greatness and now that they are way under it…we don’t want to as fans go back to those sorry days before SP. We as fans won’t stand for it.

Antarctica cold take: The entire defensive coaching staff has to go. The 4-2-5 is dead. The entire league has figured it out. Time to bring in a DC and staff who will run a 4-3 or 3-4 and commit to getting the players to run it properly. There is no in-season fix for this lame duck defensive coaching staff with an under-developed second year DT, under-performing former high first round pick DE, mediocre journeymen DTs, and a DE who should have retired before last season. The secondary is under-developed or just getting too old, linebackers have talent but are underperforming. The Saints are playing "anti-air" defense in a league that's back to the ground and pound.

The defense needs a serious refresh and I doubt it can be done in one offseason. This is going to be at least a two year project.

It’s obvious that we need youth and bulk in the middle of our dline….here is to FA and the draft filling that need. Teams can gouge us with the inside rush and I love Cam…he’s a future HOFer but his best days are behind us.

Not really a Saints hot take but I hate it so much when Vilma calls our games. I think he’s afraid of showing a bias for the Saints but he over corrects to the point of being biased against the Saints. It wouldn’t bother me so much if his history with the NFL were different. Goodell punked Vilma by throwing him under the bus during bounty gate but now JV tows the company line for a paycheck. Didn’t he make enough money to have some pride and integrity?

Team is in the exact same position it was to start the season. Too old. too expensive, too poorly coached, & too little talent. Still going to be a minimum of two years to get out from under this.
