We had two recent first round picks on the DL most of the game, and our run D was horrific.

AK’s picked up the dropsies.

On the last drive we had no Taysom, no Olave, no Shaheed, no McCoy, no Patrick. And almost got it done.

Agree completely. Only wish Derek Carr woulda took off running when everyone was covered.

He actually had an open man in the endzone. He held the ball too long.

additionally, a qb who makes good reads pre snap and WRs who get open off the line make an OLs job way easier

Another hot (positive) take:

WR play/production has been so much better under Rizzi. Kevin Austin, Dante Pettis, Cedric Wilson all made key plays today. Carr delivered it to 8+ different receivers.

We've long needed some production from an unexpected source ala Snead, Lance Moore, etc. It's been a pleasant surprise the last few games and especially today.

We're not talented (or injury free) enough to go undefeated or anything but dang it if Rizzi doesn't have this team playing to dern near its full potential.

For the most part Carr has played ok this season but I have no faith in him leading a drive to tie or win a game.

What is going on with AK’s hands?

-Run defense is terrible.
-Why was Grupe not kicking it into the end zone?
-Should have attempted a pass on 3rd down in the final drive. Having 3-4 options on a pass is better than a run by Kamara thus creating a one or done final play.
-Werner is the new Shanle.
-Big catches by Austin.
-Another brutal loss at home with the season still in play.

I mean that's not even a remotely "hot take".... these WRs are all scrubs except for MVS at this point. The rest of these guys wouldn't make most NFL rosters

Rizz is a great ST Coach……Head Coach? Probably not. Right now his name should still be on the Saints long list…..after a few more losses….no.

Taysom’s knee looked to hyperextend. Not good and with age…..

What happened to Alvin Kamara’s hands?!? He was a terrific receiver his first few years in the league. Now he’s borderline bad.

Kubiak is MID at his best. With a lead he won’t lose you the game but he couldn’t engineer a comeback to save his life.

This team has no identity. They aren’t great or terrible offensively. They are becoming bad adjacent on Defense. But they literally have no strength on either sides de of the ball.

I can recall three drops in critical situations this season. Killer drops.
