We wouldn't have been able to get under the cap had Cam retired last year. If Cam retired before June 1st next year he will cost us $23 million in dead cap and a loss of $4 million in cap space for 2025.

He's a team friendly guy though and will likely postpone his salary guarantee from March 19th 2025 until after June 1st so he can retire and we'll be able to split his cap number across two years.

Zero doubt this is his last season though.

I think its time to upgrade Tyrann Mathieu. This guy has gotten really and seems to be giving up big plays regularly. Now he's hurt. I think this will be his final year in the league.
