Hot Takes Welcome (1 Viewer)

We will lose next week, thereby effectively getting EVERYONE to stop believing and to jump off the bandwagon all-together.

People will start calling for DAs head, for Carr to be benched, and for Loomis to be fired. (Yes, I know it's already happeneing)

Lots of fans will stop watching altogether when we lose yet again to get to 2-5, but then very quietly we will go on a winning streak for a few weeks of about 4 in a row or so, to even the record at let's say 6-6.

There may be hope again!

But oops, we lose 2 in a row to teams we should beat, and now are 6-8. Unreal.

Everyone loses hope again, we can't believe we fell for it again...BUT WAIT!!!

We win the next 2, evening the record at 8-8, and go into the last week needing some help and a win to get in The Playoffs.

Lo and behold, We win at Tampa Bay!!

All we need now is for the Bears (just an example) to lose, and we are in!!

Unfortunately, the Bears best the Lions or some sheet on the last play on SNF, effectively ending our season at 9-8 and, yet again, coming a single hair short of the playoffs. 🙃
Bingo!!! Pretty much how things have been going the last few years

4v1, we couldn't win. We were battling the a great team, refs, crowd, and the announcers(they were atrocious).

I been saying this all week, we should have rested everyone of note and trash this game. The real season starts Sunday for me. The rest of the schedule is beatable.
Saying we were battling the announcers is ridiculous. In what world does what they say have anything to do with the outcome of a game?

My goodness, the post-game clown car was overloaded tonight.

That's not cool to call people clowns. I don't thing the name calling is ever justified. Tension ran high for everyone and I gave an honest take. I wouldn't say anything to you or anyone here I wouldn't say to your face. I'm positive you would not call me a clown to my face.

Well since you didn't watch the game. Toward the end of the game, there was a blatant PI call against the Chiefs the announcers said something to the fact "the refs didn't throw the flag because they seen enough and wanted to go home" Are you kidding me? They are suppose to call the game impartially but they obviously came with an agenda. So yeah they getting the smoke too.

If you not with us you against us. But yeah your right no direct impact to us losing the game.

A Suggested Tutorial

Opinions are not facts or truths no matter how much mental masturbation you go through
Tons of facts in people open there eyes. We have plenty of historical data on both Allen and Carr in terms of win/loss. We have the last two seasons and a quarter of this one.

You can sunshine pump and live in a delusional world if you want. I am more of a realist and call it like I see it, but hey its a free country right.

Can't overcome 12 injuries. Not surprised. Get healthy.

AFC games are inconsequential.
I understand what you're saying, but fundamentally disagree. They ARE consequential. A "L" is a L, and still shows on your overall W-L record; which puts the Saints in tie-break scenarios with other teams with identical W-L records. And then we lose out on tie-break scenarios. If we win ONE MORE game from an AFC opponent, we avoid the tie-break scenario. AFC games ARE consequential. Not as important as the head-to-head NFC games that cost us tie-break scenarios, but important enough to help us AVOID or circumvent those scenarios with a W against our AFC opponents. When you're on the playoff bubble, as the Saints have been; and have lost multiple tie-break scenarios over the years, as the Saints have; then ONE MORE WIN against an AFC opponent could avoid those scenarios. JMO...

If it isn't this it's that. We make a lot of excuses for this team and in the end if they aren't competitive then you gotta make changes. that's my problem with the game last night, it wasn't competitive and it starts with Derek Carr lobbing a pass to the sideline.

How? Injuries, no depth, coaches not adjusting/no game plan, players giving up on plays, etc. Why is it that we can never figure it out?

First, we don't know who will be on the injury report for the TB game. Even with Werner back, that changes the LB corps. What would you have done different with a depleted LB corps and a team that is lining up 2-4 TEs especially after Harris went down. You don't know they didn't make adjustments, but were limited to the personnel available. Injuries have decimated this team.

It's not a new problem. That's the issue. It's been a thing in DA's defenses for a while now. And still can't stop the run and can't defend against mobile QBs.

We legit addressed the problem, however he got injured. We were without 2 of our top 3 LBs including our top 2 cover LBs. What would you have done different? Just curious since we have a lot of Tuesday Morning Coaches/GMs who would have signed players midgame to address in-game injuries.

Not losing any sleep over this one, knew that on Sunday morning. JH great initials but everything else just meh filler. Carr gets some shots and he plays this week. Contested catches interesting topic but did it clear waivers or maybe I don't know td time vs minny last year. Some jw stigma with that one it seams. Camp beast to the rescue. Find out soon enough.

We wouldn't have been able to get under the cap had Cam retired last year. If Cam retired before June 1st next year he will cost us $23 million in dead cap and a loss of $4 million in cap space for 2025.

He's a team friendly guy though and will likely postpone his salary guarantee from March 19th 2025 until after June 1st so he can retire and we'll be able to split his cap number across two years.

Zero doubt this is his last season though.
