How do u guys feel about carolina game (1 Viewer)

The injuries and the Covid stuff, combined with the already tricky situation they were dealing with due to Ida concerns me for this game.

Darnold is an upgrade at QB for them and CMc always brings his A+ game for us.

Im just not sure what to expect with this one.

Agree with everything other than Darnold being an upgrade. He may be. But Teddy did pretty well there, stole Drew Lock’s job and didn’t have the benefit of a full season with McCaffrey.

This game definitely concerns me. It just feels like everything keeps piling up against us and going on the road to face a division rival right now isn’t ideal.

I like our coaching experience against them.

Our challenge will be winning in the trenches on both sides and containing Christian. I'm not afraid of Darnold.

It will be interesting to see what Sean has cooked up. Only 20 pass attempts for Jameis in week 1. That won't be the norm. So I'm curious to see how he will perform with more on him. That will show us if he can stay the course or reverts to his old self. I'm also curious to see if Sean can stick to the running game.

Panthers OL is inconsistent at best… and a sieve at worst. The Saints have an advantage there. The Jets kept it close and they have ZERO pass rush. The Saints will stress that OL.

If Darnold gets even a little rattled, the Saints defense will have opportunities to take advantage. The Panthers have good WRs, but so did the Packers… and Darnold is no Rodgers.

The Panthers are going to run everything thru CMC… if he gets off, it could be a very close game. He’s always dangerous… they’ll give him a bunch of carries and receptions… then they’ll take shots downfield to Moore and Anderson.

On offense, the Saints will have to take what is given. The Panthers will focus on Kamara and force Winston to play mistake-free football again. With solid LBs and Chinn at Safety, they could contain AK41. Winston will have to get the WRs going, and Taysom Hill could play a bigger role as an offensive weapon (with AK on the field at the same time).
I think Callaway could POP this week.

Our division rivals in Carolina and TB have more firepower than any team we’ll see all season which makes it problematic with all of our defensive injuries. It'll turn into a shootout if we can't contain CMac and not one that I think we'll come out on top of. Eliminate CMac and get pressure and we'll be fine.

The key to the game is containing McCaffrey. I believe we will score on offense. Sean has proven over the last two years with Drew out multiple games that he is a master game planner. And we know that Jameis is not just a backup QB starting now. He was a top 15 qb in the league & just had a couple of bad seasons, which I believe was because he wasn't in the right system.

Put Malcom as a spy on CMC, Roby covers the #1 receiver and double the 2 with Williams and Acebo. Make them eat the clock with the run.

I don’t want to make any predictions but I think this will be a close game. I checked out Carolina last game there defense looks very strong but I think our D can force Arnold to make mistakes. If Arnold does start throwing pics our offense has to capitalize by putting up 7 points every time, that will be the game changer.
