How do you guys think Bruce Arians will do this season? (1 Viewer)

Counting his interim head coach wins, he's 58 - 33 - 1 (.630). That win % is third among active coaches and ahead of Sean Payton.

How much of that is attributable to him remains to be seen.

Thanks for the stats Chuck. Arians is like sleepy good and he has been excellent at taking dysfunctional locker rooms and getting them to play like a team. I wish he was in another division. TB is so loaded with offensive passing talent: Evans, Godwin and OJ/Brate, if Arians can find a way to get Winston to become a smarter more efficient QB, their passing game will be scary. But we still beat them 2x this year!

I think they'll be improved for sure. BA is a players coach, everyone who's been around him loves him. He'll definitely have the Bucs playing as a team. There's plenty of talent on offense there for his vertical scheme, but there's a lack of ground game to really make it flourish.. so we'll see exactly how much they improve. maybe 8-9 wins?

I agree with 99% of this. Arians is a very good coach... especially early on. The Bucs are loaded with weapons and talent. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucs are a surprise team this year. They could contend for the NFCS.

Looking at Arians' career it's hard to determine if he had success because of his scheme or because of his QB. He's looked great with Andrew Luck, Big Ben, and Carson Palmer but not so much with Tim Couch, Kelly Holcomb, and Blaine Gabbert.

Luck and Big Ben have been great with multiple OCs. Carson Palmer was putting up good numbers in a Bob Bratkowski offense.

There's no doubt that Arians knows offense but the "QB Whisperer" deal is a little overblown. If you're whispering to good QBs then you're going to have success. If you're whispering to bums you'll be looking for another job soon.

Great coach really.

What I can tell you about coaches they get too much credit sometimes just like QBs.

He will only be as good as the QB.

On that note the rest of the team won't make stupid mistakes as often but mr crab legs will.

I wouldn't trust the loyalty he has to the team in the first place considering the "retirement" he pulled in AZ because things weren't going well.

Let's see how he and the team react when the going gets tough. If things go well, I could see him succeeding. If not, I could see him quitting again.

I honestly think that BA is a top ten coach. What he did in Arizona is astonishing. He is respected around the league and the players love him. I see Tampa being better than Atlanta in the near future.
