How do you guys think Bruce Arians will do this season? (2 Viewers)

Who is their quarterback?.............There is your answer on how they will do.

Exactly... BA’s a really good coach, & props to him, but he’s not on the field under Center. Ultimately, it’s all on the shoulders of their moron QB. “On paper” the Bucs are a talented team, for sure. But when it comes down to it, I think they eat more L’s than W’s, per usual.

Bruce Arians is a good coach and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucs finish second in the division.

Arians is like sleepy good and he has been excellent at taking dysfunctional locker rooms and getting them to play like a team. , if Arians can find a way to get Winston to become a smarter more efficient QB, their passing game will be scary.
Arians is way above and avg. coach. He is scary good. But you can not coach intelligence. That is a given, and Winston doesn't have it. Game over. The Bucs ends up at best at 7-9 which for them will be almost like winning the division

I don't think much of him as a head coach.

He has a good reputation among coaches, but so did Jeff Fisher. I don't see it.

He likes to be aggressive even when the situation doesn't merit it. I believe as a result, there are no consequences for making mistakes on his teams. "I was just being aggressive coach."

His teams love him and that love is shown by 11 individuals on the field. Not a team.

So he can come in, inject some enthusiasm and be pretty good for awhile. But that doesn't last. Two years tops Maybe three if he has "bad-cop" coordinators But it eventually turns downhill into a talented team giving away games and Ahrens looking for a new job.

College offensive coordinator should be his coaching ceiling.

I agree with the bold part of this quote. Kinda Harbaugh Lite

One interesting question: How many coaches have made the playoffs with 3 different teams? (I count TB as Arians' 3rd team since he led the Colts to a playoff berth subbing for an ill Pagano) Off the top of my head, I can think of Parcells (NYG, NE, NYJ, DAL), Reeves (DEN, NYG, ATL), Knox (LAR, BUF, SEA), and Vermeil (PHI, STL, KC). If Arians makes the playoffs in TB, he enters pretty rarefied company.

He had an immediate impact in Arizona. I think he brought their offense from almost dead last to upper-middle of the pack in one off-season. If he can get Winston to play a little more efficiently, they can definitely have some success -- and early. Their defense has some talent and if the offense can ramp it up a bit, they will be a factor -- if not now within a season or two.

Looking at Arians' career it's hard to determine if he had success because of his scheme or because of his QB. He's looked great with Andrew Luck, Big Ben, and Carson Palmer but not so much with Tim Couch, Kelly Holcomb, and Blaine Gabbert.

Luck and Big Ben have been great with multiple OCs. Carson Palmer was putting up good numbers in a Bob Bratkowski offense.

There's no doubt that Arians knows offense but the "QB Whisperer" deal is a little overblown. If you're whispering to good QBs then you're going to have success. If you're whispering to bums you'll be looking for another job soon.

don't know any coach that can win with those guys, not even Coach Payton. any good coach needs a good qb to really shine. Arians is a good coach, at least an offensive coordinator.

I think the Bucs are going to be a lot like the Saints were when they were finishing 7-9. The offense will put up gaudy numbers, and so will their opponents. I don't think that record will suggest he's a poor coach, he doesn't have the defensive talent to do better. I do think he'll get the most out of Winston, that there is to get, which will be a positive reflection on him.

Todd Bowles is a good d coordinator and there are some good pieces in their front seven. The Saints had one good player in their front seven during those 9-7 seasons and that was Cam Jordan. Their secondary will be leaky, but they won’t break records like they did last year.
