How good was Carr in his first start as a Saint? (1 Viewer)

He single-handedly saved the game the D won. He is who we thought he was. A great QB who makes an inexplicable throw every once in a while. Not Farve level, but disturbingly in the same neighborhood.
It's funny people forget about Drew's boneheaded INT's...especially on dropping underneath defenders that he didn't see. It happens and Carr explained during his postgame that he was just uber excited and never should have thrown it. He'll improve.

He was a bit shaky, unsure in the 1st half and threw the bad INT near the end....but as the protection improved in the 2nd half he was very, very good.....

This. We’ll never have a QB like Drew. But he had some head-scratching gunslinger moments, too. Every good, aggressive QB will.

Wait, in all honesty, we care about these things now?
Where’s your sense of community? Lets the fans be happy that they FINALLY have something to look forward to. Why throw cold water on a hype thread? Whose side are you on? (I ask that rhetorically) As that ESPN show would say, “come on man!!”

Just win baby.

what things? Above average QB play?

Why you wizzing on everyone's cornflakes?

Carr has to go over 3 games where he completes 70% of his passes and win over 7 games in two seasons to outperform Greatness.

I know it's not Carr's fault, but the red zone offense needs to work on some good routes and plays. We choked a lot there, seeming due to poor design.
This. You can’t have a great QB, a defense that gets 3 interceptions and only score 16 points. It’s broken math.

Did anyone else notice that Penning wasn't the worst rated O-lineman, by a pretty good margin?

I've been lukewarm on Carr throughout his career, but I warmed up to him a little last Sunday. I always thought he deserved better than the Raiders, so I'm pulling for him.
