How many carries for Latavius Murray now that AK41 is returning to lineup? (1 Viewer)

Beat the will to win out of them
That should be easy. They haven't shown much will to do anything but lose so far. ;)

Seriously, I agree. This should be a run heavy offense for us this week.

Just like Ingram, Murray should get 15 - 18 carries a game, while kamara gets 20 or so touches running and receiving. Will be better long term for both especially Kamara. On occasion if Kamara has the hot hand running the ball, then give him the 20 carries that game, just not every game.

It will all be based on scheme and who we're playing. Poor run D's get the train. Poor LB's get Kamara in space.
Both can do everything.....looking forward to a few 2 back sets.

I'd like to see Kamara pass a td to murray.
and vice versa.

I see Murray running the ball 15 times, while A.K is used for screen passes, 10 yard routes and pitches that set him in space to run the ball. Kamara is good between the tackles but deadly in space

No offense, but I hope Payton doesn't start telegraphing plays like this. If Murray is only in on running plays, it will totally decrease the effectiveness of the offense. You HAVE to use them interchangeably with Kamara getting slightly more downs regardless of the playcall. The only problem with Ingram was that there were obvious plays where the Saints were going to run when he came on the field on first down. That shouldn't happen any more.

I think that they both need to be on the field 75% of the time. Give Kamara a handful of handoffs, and otherwise put him out wide. He's better than our #3 WR, so why not?

Really think this will be more of a passing game, Dirty Birds awful against pass so far this year

They should split touches 50/50. This will keep both guys fresh and help prevent wear and tear injuries down the stretch.

Hopefully 20+

That means we are running out the clock in the 4th quarter.

In general, I’m hoping for a 60/40 split in rushing with AK getting 40% of carries and an 80/20 split in receptions with AK getting 80%.

I would like to see Murray get about 5 more touches than Kamara, depending on the game situation.

Alvin Kamara said he's comfortable sharing the load with Latavius Murray.
Murray had been operating as a scarcely-used change-of-pace early in the year, but he earned a bigger piece of New Orleans' backfield pie by dominating during Kamara's two-game absence (307 yards from scrimmage, four touchdowns). However the Saints decide to divvy up their carries, Kamara will be on board with it. "I don't need the ball every play," said Kamara
