I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday.

It depends on the year. We've gone from the 6 of us (one being my MiL) to 40 people when I hosted my Marines when I was in NC.

This year will be harder because my MiL died earlier this year and my wife is really feeling it right now, but her brother and his family are coming in from MS and I'm having a few friends over since we have a bigger house we just built. I'm frying 2 turkeys and smoking a brisket.
I was going to fry a turkey so that I can have turkey leftovers. Then I saw how much the oil costs now. Two turkeys changes the math.

Just the 2 of us this year. I can't travel much with due to my back. Daughter and her family alternate years with us. Trying to keep it simple since I can't stand for long, I bought a pack each of turkey wings and drums. (the breast is useless)
Anyway my point was that I probably could have bought 2 whole turkeys for what I paid for the parts.
I wonder how long to thaw?
Whoever all of you celebrate with, or not, hope your Thanksgiving is a peaceful one.

We’re in Uniontown, OH, right outside of Canton. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and that you have a crowded house full of fun and good memories. I really miss those times.
Ah. That's about 3.5 hours from Cincinnati so I won't be popping up your doorstep. When Drew gets inducted into the HoF, you're hosting! Is there a Drago's in the Uniontown Hilton? If not, I call dibs on the couch!

Sorry, no Drago’s here, but chargrilled oysters and smoked lobster on the Big Green Egg is pretty awesome. And no need for the couch unless you want it - we treat our guests like royalty - air mattress in the garage!!!! :hihi:

I was not aware Cincinnati was so near salt water
