I’m convinced the Titans are still high on Will Levis

I find it hilarious that with so many people questioning the decision-making of Loomis and Ireland when it comes to talent evaluation and deal-making that you all are saying " If the Saints feel like Ward is the guy then you go get him whatever the cost " LOL SMH

No one credible I’m sure

You can believe next to nothing this time of year either way especially from “influencers”.

We don’t know even for sure if the saints made a firm offer yet let. Even less that they were “rebuffed”.

It would’ve been reported somewhere that the Saints made an offer that was rejected.

I can't remember who tweeted it. It was in one of the draft related threads. I searched for it, but can't find it.

There was also this from 60minutes that the Saints spoke to Titans about what it would take and that the Titans would have to come down from what they want for the Saints to make a trade. It sounds like once the Saints found out what the Titans wanted, it was too high and they were too far apart for the Saints to even enter into negotiations.

Saints have spoken to Titans. Nothing serious. Just feeling things out. Costs would be extremely high to move plus unless Titans budge but Saints do love Ward.

Here’s my sense: if Titans were to come with a more reasonable offer Saints will go up to #1 for Ward...But I get the strongest indication that the interest in Cam Ward is very, very real. And if they don’t move up (because again it won’t be cheap) I think it is still Jeanty or Warren with a few others garnering consideration.

Underhill said it a week or so ago

That's why I said "word on the internet streets." Didn't make any claims about credibility, just that word is out there that the Saints already checked into the cost and the Titan's response ended the Saints interest in trading up.

That's not the same as ending their interest in Ward, just not interested in paying the Titans' asking price to trade up to #1 to draft Ward.

Vibe I’ve gotten over the last year and to this day is that the Titans are just about done with Levis. I hope to be wrong as I’m one who hopes they don’t draft Ward, and we trade up and get him.

This is just a random I believe but as a local I hear a lot of news about the Titans and I just don’t think they’re going to go into 25 with Will as their starter.

From the article:

The Will Levis experiment took an unfortunate turn in year two. The dude just doesn't have it, which leaves Tennessee in limbo under new head coach Brian Callahan. We should expect the Titans to give Callahan time to figure things out after such a successful run as Cincinnati's OC, but Tennessee didn't take long to axe Mike Vrabel when the Titans' success plateaued. Pressure is starting to mount.

Equipped with the No. 1 overall pick in next month's NFL Draft, all signs point to Tennessee selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward. That gives them a new building block, but it does not completely settle the QB room in 2025.

Just because the Titans want to make it work with Levis, that's not going to come without 6 first round draft picks in the next three years. The Titans are not going to take less given the predicament they are in especially in that division. Still they're going to want at least 2027 and 2028 first round picks.

The draft is still a whole month away and I just wish it would hurry up.

Agreed but we have and have had holes for a long time already. lol

Historically it hasn’t worked out but I’m all for it if they take the chance. I’m also good if they stand pat.

Loved Young but he didn’t have the mental make up for the NFL. Hope he’s doing well wherever he is now.
We're picking higher than we have in the past. The last time we picked so high was last year and 2017 and both were good picks. When you're picking in the mid first round just missing the playoffs you're going to swing on a lot of prospects. Our trench problems are due to not doing a better job in FA. But we're likely drafting an offensive player. Our OL last year had an unexpected problem with Ram retiring. So we had multiple OL concerns not addressed. Then McCoy gets hurt behind an already mediocre OL. Tyler Warren is an immediate boost to our offense. An elite TE bails out poor OL play often and helps with blocking.

What I think might be going on here is FA didn't go the way the FO wanted. Players don't want to play here(I don't think it's Carr). The FO didn't solve many pressing needs and now the players they may have coveted will not be there at 9. If Jeanty was a possibility, this isn't happening.

Idk that it’d be fair to hold anything without Reid against McNabb. First season without him was in 2010 when McNabb was 34 years old in Washington with the worst offensive personnel in the NFL at that time.

McNabb spent 10 years as a Top 10 QB. That isn’t a guy to turn down 1.01.
But McNabb struggled under pressure.
