My wife has domesticated me.

I have been up since 3 AM cooking for Thanksgiving.
How I miss the days of getting up at 10, eating and then watching football.

Yeah, my only problem is deciding at what time I want to microwave that turkey pot pie i bought last night.
and do I have enough beer to get through the day.

Dern Jim, that better be one good turkey for all that effort.
I don't have to do anything except make that 5 hour trip to Houston in an hour or so. No cooking for me today, it is Thanksgiving at the parents house this year.

Jims domesticated....hmmmm....I'll file that away for later. My wife's been up since 5:45 cooking while I've been taking care of sick kids.

There was another term I used to hear about men getting up to cook for his wife, but it escapes me at the moment. :vancat:

I've been up since 4 prepping the smoker and then starting the smoking of the turkey.. This thing better turn out great.. Take that back.. This thing WILL turn out great! It was my idea to smoke the turkey, but we bought such a large one that it will take a while to smoke it..

1981 - Wifey pregnant. Dad fixes Thanksgiving.
1985 - Wifey pregnant. Dad fixes Thanksgiving.
1987 - Wifey pregnant. Dad fixes Thanksgiving.
1988 - Wifey pregnant. Dad fixes Thanksgiving.

ALL YEARS IN BETWEEN - Wifey worn out from taking care of kids. Dad fixes Thanksgiving.

ALL FIFTEEN YEARS AFTERWARD - Wifey sleeps in. Dad and kids fix Thanksgving.

NOW - Kids fix Thanksgiving, Wifey gripes and nitpicks. Dad sleeps in.

There is justice after all!

Until you've dealt with a pregnant woman who barfs at the smell of food cooking, but is ravenously hungry 24/7, you haven't had a real Thanksgiving!

Jim I woudn't say domesticated, I do 90% of the cooking, face it if I want it to taste good I will do it. Er no one knows me and I deny anything I have said

Seriously I do a majority of the cooking cause i am good at it. the wife can cook she cooks certains thing real good so we take turns.
