Did anyone else receive a letter from the IRS stating that they reduced your return due to insufficient information regarding a dependent? It’s causing a jump in my tax bill, and I gave these bozos all of her info.

Has anyone faced and fought this issue?

Progress!!!

On the day I have to pay my 2021 taxes I finally got my 2019 check! Thankfully it will cover what I owe plus a bit more. Now hoping the 2018 check follows soon.

Finally got the last check! On top of that, I didn't notice this on the last one, but it did include an interest increase! Glad this is finally done. As I said before, I wasn't really worried about getting the money eventually. I was really just worried that the process would end up much more difficult than just waiting a long while. Now dumping a chunk on the credit card and paying off some lingering medical bills and, poof, just like that it's gone again.
