N/S I Really Feel Bad For Lions Fans….But…. (37 Viewers)

What was he supposed to say? "Yeah, the Saints got screwed." That might've been a more dick response IMHO.

He responded how anyone would and with logic. He had obvious PIs that weren't called in his favor. We did have a chance to still win. I hate the League for that total fork up. But we can't blame the Rams for taking advantage. We'd be stupid for not doing the same thing in that situation.
Ok

Oddly enough I’m starting to see his need to choose the “right” situation as a potential negative about him.

Ever been in a situation where you waited, waited, waited…and by doing that the perfect moment you were holding out for passed you by?
Getting a Josh McDaniels vibe from him.

I had a bad feeling for the Lions when I saw that pregame segment with some of their fans envisioning a Super Bowl victory and saying how it would fulfill their lives. That’s just bad juju.
And now every team left has won the Super Bowl before, except the Bills.

I never feel bad for other fan bases. You can call me classless or whatever, but I simply don’t. It’s entertainment and choosing to be a fan of a team means you’re going to be let down - it happens.

I feel the same way. However, that's karma for ya. Jared Goff has three chances to get a ring & his teams choked every time.

- the Rams 13-3 lost to the Patriots in SB.
- Last year's NFC title game lost, by choking in the 2nd half.
- Last night's upset loss to the Commanders. After having the best record in the NFC at (14-2), #1 Seed Home-Advantage & 1st Round Bye.

I believe this loss was more devastating than last year's NFCCG because this was possibly the Lions' last shot of getting to the Super Bowl. The Lions are the Browns of the NFC

I agree with this maybe being the beginning of the Lions window shutting.

Successful coaches leaving. Quarterback declining. Big number of serious injuries to key players - will they be as effective when they return to the field? These were all key ingredients in the Saints' slide after 20-21 (putting aside Dennis Allen).

Having been a Saints fan my whole life, I still remember decades of bad years, (and the few good ones too), but I still have no sympathy for any other teams fans.

It is weird now that the Saints have had nearly 2 decades of success and nearly forty years of stability watching some franchises look like the Meacom years.

I hate the NFL for what they did to us in 2018. The Rams did what they were supposed to do otherwise. If we had won the game in that fashion, we'd be saying "get over it".

Yeah, but those people looked like they were at their favorite granny's funeral.

I felt almost the exact same way. I was rooting for the Lions last season and this one. But when I saw Goff losing, I just thought about the 2018 NFCCG game and immediately, I was rooting for the Commanders.
