N/S I Really Feel Bad For Lions Fans….But…. (3 Viewers)

The offense was fine. The run defense is what did them in. We need to learn as well. If you cannot stop the run on
defense you ain't hoisting no Lombardi
eh, 4 turnovers isn't fine. Defense played poorly and it was clear the injuries have caught up to them, but 4 turnovers including a pick six, an endzone INT, a fumble in field goal position....

Guess we are supposed to hate all things 2018 Rams, in addition to the head official from that game that had absolutely nothing to do with the missed P.I. call whatsoever.

As for the Lions, that team got way too cocky way too quickly, ate the cheese and got caught slipping.
It was also really annoying how last year when DET lost to DAL in that game where they kept getting winning 2 point conversions called back Goff whined in the interview about how bad it felt to have a game "taken away" from him by the refs. Don't dish it out to Saints fans and expect anybody to cry for you when the refs have a bad day that hurts your team.

Also, my disdain for Vinovich stems from his post-game "I didn't see the call" stuff even though he was looking straight at it (and photos show it). He wasn't the closest ref, but don't go on national TV and lie to us. The dude who blew the call that cost DET Tigers Armando Galarraga a perfect game completely owned it by contrast. If the refs including Vinovich had owned it, it wouldn't make everything okay, but I could feel more sympathy for them. And if you're the crew chief, yeah, buck stops with you. You want to be the leader you're gonna take the heat when your team screws up whether that's a football team's head coach or a reffing crew's head ref.

That's why I respect Vikings radio man Paul Allen. He was asked if bountygate was a reason for their loss.
He said No. You can't commit 5 turnovers on the road and expect to win. We did the same in SF 2 years
later. If we had played turnover free ball we would have blew the Niners out of the stadium.

Yep...and MIN had 3 fumbles they recovered! That's the crazy thing! It could have been eight turnovers!

Right and I've always liked Allen. You can tell that man genuinely bleeds Minnesota football just like Jim Henderson bled black and gold.

I'll admit it. Paul Allen is probably my favorite NFL radio broadcaster.

How is bountygate cheating? Was it cheating when Leonard Marshall knocked Joe Montana out of the 1990 NFCCG? Whoever asked that question is an idiot.

At least the Bills can say, with the perspective of over 3 decades to fully appreciate what those great Bills 90's teams really achieved (and probably no other NFL team will match it again), that they've advanced. and played in one Super Bowl. Or consecutive ones. Buffalo might've lost those 4 Super Bowls, but no one can deny, overlook, or downplay just how hard, busted their arses off to get there in spite of American sports fan perception eventually turning against them a bit by 1992 season.

Detroit is among a handful of remaining NFL teams that have yet to advance to a Super Bowl, much less win one. This list includes the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.
90s Bills were very solid.

But grouping the Browns and Lions with the Jags and Texans overlooks the Lions 4 NFL Championships

They should have kept running the ball until they showed they could not be stopped. I think coaching mismanagement caused the loss. The two int's could have been avoided if they kept running.

It wasn't I can't remember who asked the question, but it was a few years after the 09 game when all the suspensions
came down. Allen said the Saints weren't dirty and turnovers were the reason the Vikes lost.

Payton neglected that way too long.
