N/S I Really Feel Bad For Lions Fans….But…. (2 Viewers)

Guess we are supposed to hate all things 2018 Rams, in addition to the head official from that game that had absolutely nothing to do with the missed P.I. call whatsoever.

As for the Lions, that team got way too cocky way too quickly, ate the cheese and got caught slipping.
Yeah they didn't look prepared at all. It's like they were looking ahead to next week's game as if it were the regular season

And now every team left has won the Super Bowl before, except the Bills.
At least the Bills can say, with the perspective of over 3 decades to fully appreciate what those great Bills 90's teams really achieved (and probably no other NFL team will match it again), that they've advanced. and played in one Super Bowl. Or consecutive ones. Buffalo might've lost those 4 Super Bowls, but no one can deny, overlook, or downplay just how hard, busted their arses off to get there in spite of American sports fan perception eventually turning against them a bit by 1992 season.

Detroit is among a handful of remaining NFL teams that have yet to advance to a Super Bowl, much less win one. This list includes the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.

I felt almost the exact same way. I was rooting for the Lions last season and this one. But when I saw Goff losing, I just thought about the 2018 NFCCG game and immediately, I was rooting for the Commanders.
What makes this particular loss even more painful or depressing is that in last year's NFCCG @ Niners, Detroit was winning the game going into the 4th quarter and if not for some overly-aggressive, questionable, dubious and frankly, borderline stupid late-game decisions by Dan Campbell, the Lions could've won that game. This year's team was more potent and explosive on offense although the defense was more injury-plagued, hurting and broken down and its thinning depth was exposed last night pretty significantly.

I do agree with the SR posters who suggested Detriot was more then a bit cocky and way over-confident going into this game and it affected their focus and determination. That bye week and #1 NFC playoff seed may have made them a bit rusty, emotionally and psychologically.

Year, I said last year that Dan Campbell should have been fired for his decisions. People lambasted me, but I'm not sure Detroit will ever recover from his gaff. He might have blown their only legitimate shot at a SB.

The offense was fine. The run defense is what did them in. We need to learn as well. If you cannot stop the run on
defense you ain't hoisting no Lombardi
The offense was not fine 5 TO's including a pick 6. You give the other team 5 extra possessions you should expect to lose

There was only mild hate for the Rams before Goff was cocky about the most egregious costly penalty in NFL history on pardon my take

Yep! They’re definitely all-in on Johnson. It’s just a matter of if he’d be up for that level of a rebuild.

Would be odd to me to see a guy like him holding out for the right job and then choosing the Raiders of all teams, regardless of the Brady factor.
If Johnson takes the Raider job then his decision making is in serious doubt.
The Raiders have been one of the worst organizations in the league for yrs and Brady ain't gonna change that.
They are way more void of talent than any team looking for a HC. Yes they have the #6 pick but it's a bad yr to need a QB. There are no real great options @ QB in FA

Wait, did Goff slam into TLL? Did he coax the ref to not throw the flag for PI? What exactly is he supposed to be apologizing for? Y'all are hating for all the wrong reasons.
I didn't need an apology from him, but that cocky, taunting " That was not PI" attitude is what made me can't stand him and I will always pull against him even though I feel for the city of Detroit and do like Campbell's personality. He could have said " I don't feel the need to apologise , It was not my call " But to embellish it with all the snarky comment showed who he really is. What do you think Brees would have said if the tables had been turned ?

Who cares? Drew is not the measuring stick except for folks here. No one would have had an issue had Vilma said it, or Pierre said it. No one would have had an issue if Brees had said it. And we would have been telling Rams' fans the same thing they told to us... get over it.

Sorry, but I will never ever ever get over that no call

A Pee Wee official throws a flag there. WTF Dude?
