If Belichick and Tomlin Became Available, Who Would You Prefer (Pipe Dream Thread) (2 Viewers)

Neither. No retreads.
This is my general position, but I think I need to amend it to failed retreads like Dennis. I don't think anyone would have a problem hiring Andy Reid if he was available. Bill needs to retire and I doubt Tomlin goes to another team. There's no going up from Pitt as a franchise.

i think it's time to think about a young mind like they have in Miami. We need some new energy!

I think Belichick has some of the same issues that DA has in that they need strong team leaders to keep the players focused and motivated. They're not emotionally equipped to be that kind of coach.

Don't understand the vitriol for "retreads". Some of the best coaches in the league were retreads. Doug Peterson, Andy Reid, Mike McCarthy, and Pete Carroll were all retreads. I wish we had hired Peterson last year.

Rather an up and coming offensive mind, but if it came out that these were the Saints’ two HC finalists, I think I’d take my chances with Bill.

If given the choice between the two, I'd take Tomlin. Obviously, BB is one of the GOATs, but I think Tomlin would fit better here. Grumbly old BB would not deal well with the challenges one faces by living here, where I feel Tomlin would be more adaptive.

Wouldn't want either of them.

Go get a young, up and coming offensive mind.
This is the only option. With the exception of Reid, what other longtime coach has found success after moving in the last 20-30 years?
