Inside Linebacker - Joe Bachie (1 Viewer)

All of the news about the LBs sounds great. But we have kind of been here before. It’s not the first time we thought we were deep only to limp out the back end of the season. I am optimistic but I’ll be cringing every time one of them takes more than a second to Bounce off the turf.

I just read that it's the performance of UDFA ILB Joe Bachie is the reason for Bradham's release. Linebackers Coach Michael Hodges raves about "Bachie's performance and his intelligence (Football IQ), always being at the right place at the right time". "Bachie performs like an NFL Veteran Starter".
That is exciting. Because I pointed out that we have so much quality UDFAs, but my favorite was and is my favorite player after watching his college tape. Bachie was awesome, always in the running back hole, making stops behind the line, and when he hits you that's it no yards after contact. For his size he hits and it looks like it hurt.
So I say Joe Bachie is my favorite camp beast.
Do you think this is why Bradham was demoted in the first place?

all indications are yes. All I'm seeing is that there was a reason that Philly let him go. He was clearly not living up to that contract that gave him after the SB and he may have been a very serviceable option for us. But if the youth here is showing enough to make serviceable expendable, then that is very good to hear. When healthy we actually could be strong at every level of this defense.

I think that was a part of it. The bigger part I think was his color=red]attitude[/red] after he realized he was immediately not given a starting job.

That's what I heard/read somewhere. Apparently, he had sour grapes about the demotion, and didn't try to hide it. Players and staff noted it, and they gave him the "left foot of fellowship."

:gosaints:

I remember getting this guy, but until now I didn't know anything about him. After watching some of his highlights just now, I am really excited about this guy. He's physical, for sure. Seems to be always be around the ball, but of course that's why he's in the highlights. Lol. Looks like a good player to my eye.
