We waited 3 years for Arcane, but it was immediately apparent why
But Invincible animation is not Arcane animation

Agreed. With Arcane, the wait was tough, but very different.

I was like, well, S1 annd it’s characters were awesome and the animation was brilliant. I guess I’ll just have to re-watch it as S2 gets closer.

Invincible just didn’t have its hooks in me like that.

The way TV is being produced these days is causing a lot of people to lose interest in shows due to huge gaps between seasons, gaps in seasons, short episode runs, etc. A show will start off hot in season one, then interest falls off a cliff by the time it returns. It happened here. Season one, people were talking about it everywhere, making videos, memes all over the place, etc. Season 2 you'd barely even notice came out by those same cultural awareness metrics.

There's no reason for this. Regular release schedules of much higher episode counts were the norm for TV production for the entirety of its existence up until the rise of streaming.
