Is Anyone Hiring? Permission Received From Andrus to Post (2 Viewers)

All done. They said they would let me know by Thursday.

Also, I was asked "Theres a lot of time when there is nothing to do. Are you ok with that?" Lol....i hate interviews. Im an introvert. I do not like talking about myself. I dont even go to restaraunts because i feel uncomfortable being waited on!! Lol. I wish I was different, but this is how im wired. No changing it.

Lol...i just referenced my time working from home but always at my desk in case something came in so i could start on it right away....i didnt tell them that i would just sit in my recliner and watch tv while waiting. Although, we were busy all the time, so i never really did that too much

If this was a 3rd interview and they are asking if you're ok with instances where there isn't much to do, I'd have to say you're 90% in the door.
Yeah, I would think so as well, but I wouldn't dance until I sign and deliver the offer letter, lol.

After the last 3 years of one gut punch after another, I will not be surprised if they call and tell me they selected someone else. Law of averages says something has to go my way once, so I am hopeful, but very nervous.

Good luck to you!!

Update plz.
Nothing yet. They said they would let me know Thursday, which is today. This waiting for the phone to ring sure does suck though.

I hope it doesn't turn out like the other 50 companies I interviewed with over the last few months and just don't ever hear from them again. But every minute that passes, I get more and more pessimistic.

Keep your chin up! I have all my fingers and toes crossed! Just remember, if you don’t get it, it’s not the end of the road. Keep plugging away at it. Never give up.

It'll be pretty close to the end of the road. I don't even have enough money left to keep my lights on for another month. I am in a complete mess.

To make it this far in the process, they value you as a candidate. I know this wouldn’t help you now, but if they go with somebody else, they may very well keep you on a list for future consideration. I once applied for a job, didn’t get it, but then got called back weeks later. By then I’d already found something else. It’s not uncommon.

Years ago, I briefly worked remotely for a business called Working Solutions, while I was back in school. I don’t have contacts and I don’t know if their business model has changed, but it was mostly outbound call center work for government programs, prescription plans, that sort of thing. All scripted. No sales pressure. Low skill. The threshold to get hired back then was low but it was legit work. Logged hours, mailed checks (probably electronic now), hourly pay, no benefits. They were pretty much looking for anybody to be agents. You’d sign up for projects you were interested in and select the hours you wanted to work. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s changed from what it used to be but with your background, it might be worth looking into. Just to stress it, I can’t vouch for how they operate now, it’s just been too long ago. So if it’s not still as I described, I apologize.

There’s an apply link at the top of their homepage.

Pulling for you.
