Is Dak Prescott the New Andy Dalton (2 Viewers)

He puts up good numbers against bad times, when it doesn't count/garbage time. When his team needs him he fails to deliver, especially against good teams. Come playoff time he completely Vanishes.

Only difference I can figure is AD's peak came with the Bengals, whereas Dak's occured with a Blue Blood/ premier NFL franchise. You switch thier places and AD would be on Speak for yourself, Undisputed and those other shows daily and be discussed as an elite QB.
Prescott has reached his ceiling. He can’t take the Cowboys any further.

He's actually won more games and had more winning seasons in less amount of time then Romo had over his entire 10-year+ career as Cowboys QB from 2006-2016 and also participated in more playoff games then Romo did, either. He's a poor man's Warren Moon who looks great and racks up outstanding statistical numbers during the regular-season, but often under-performs, gets out-played, outcoached, or out-manuevered whenever the 2nd-3rd week of January comes around. Dak has a luxury that Moon, IMHO, never really had with those high-powered, run and shoot Oilers offenses of the late 80's--early 90's and that's a dominant, aggressive, punishing defense.

I agree with what another poster said about Dak having reached his ceiling and this is as good as he's going to produce for them. If he remains Cowboys starter for another 3-4 seasons, he'll continue having great, outstanding seasons, throw for 4,500 yards and 30+ TD's, maybe luck out and win a couple WC games here and there but lose either a close heartbreaker in OT or get blown out in the Divisional Round via Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks, Rams, or Vikings.

The whole team implodes in the playoffs. Yearly it seems, even before Dak.
That failure or inability to advance past the first or second round of the post-season since Bill Clinton's first term in office has to be relegated and blamed mostly on Dallas' organizational dysfunction, complete power-grab politics and not wanting to hire an actual GM to hire and fire HC'S, coaching staffs, run and monitor yearly drafts, wine and dine incumbent, possible FA's.

Jerry Jones has made it his primary, overarching mission since firing Jimmy Johnson after winning their second Super Bowl title following the 1993 season by striving to win a Super Bowl his way, under his specific, distinct, single-minded, absolute organizational control philosophy of ownership where he buys the groceries and cooks the food. Well, since 1995, Cowboys fans and DFW-area sports fans, in general, have been forced to eat, consume and digest more then their fair share of sheetty, under-cooked food.

The Cowboys organization has reached its ceiling. Dak is a pretty good QB. Top 10-12. Worst owner and FO in the league. Still living off of Landry and Staubachs Americas Team reputation.

Again, thats what happens when an owner literally and figuratively, insists he's the man who will always know best and has the right ideas in mind when he shops for the groceries and cooks the food.

Well, for almost 30 years now, Dallas sports fans have been forced and made to endure eating and digesting more then their fair share of sheetty, terrible, under-cooked food, come mid-January. They went 13 years without winning a post-season game, at all, and IIRC, have only won 5 playoff games since defeating Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-17, in Super Bowl XXX in late January 1996.

Meanwhile, other DFW-area teams like Mavericks, Stars, and this past year with the Texas Rangers, have either won or made it to their respective sports championship Finals (Stanley Cup, World Series, and NBA Finals) at least multiple times. The Cowboys have had a embedded firewall thats mentally and physically prevented them from advancing past the second round of the NFC playoffs.

Yet, some here want Gayle to get more involved.
