With all the coaches leaving in every off season, the purge is starting to look a little Stalinesque in it's efficiency. First the coaches, could players (Taysom, Latt, Kamara, MT, etc) be next?

It seems we are headed in a whole new direction offensively. Can we finally bury the ghost of Sean's system? I don't think any of us really know how this will turn out, but I think we can all agree a change was necessary.

He is completely overhauling his staff. This could be the turning point for DA. It's literally sink or swim time. Don't know about you'll but I like the changes he's making so far. He still has some locker room personality distractions that need to be addressed. Hopefully, that will come shortly.

DA is not the best head coach but we don’t need him to be HOF level to win. We need him to hold the defense together while the offense improves. Sean’s system was good at a time when we had a super intelligent QB. That style of offense puts a lot of pressure on the QB to make the right pre snap adjustments. It’s outdated.

The QBs coming out of college aren’t going through full field progressions and sitting in the pocket. And Brees had an insane work ethic to keep that up.

They stuck with Sean’s scheme because it’s all they knew for 15 years. Maybe they knew that PC was just a place holder.

With over 20 years experience (including as assistants) in the NFL, 14 years with the Saints, and 5 years under his belt as a head coach, he officially needs to be in a 'Now or Never' scenario in his coaching career. Few head coaches with his knowledge & experience gets this kind of grace period to finally put it all together. For his sake and ours I hope his big leap of success begins now!

Lost in all this is that we had a HoF type HC and was only able to muster up 1 SB in 16 years. Now we think we can win with a career loser...nvm

Hooray for "continuity"!!!!
With a HOF QB in Drew. To think we went into the 2022 season w/DA and Jamies at QB, Mickey was telling us we were a win now play off team. Sean/Drew > DA/Jamies/Andy.

Using the word "purge" suggests it was the team that decided to let them all go, which isn't true. Some coaches moved on due to finding better opportunities elsewhere, which happens every year to every team.
