Now that the OBJ saga is over it's obvious the Saints now have to deal with the cards already on the table. That being said with the lack of production at the WR position, maybe it's time to see what Winston Jr and Baker can do...They can't be much worse than what we saw for most of last Sunday.

Coaches look at players and development every single week. Obviously, coaches will decide to get them to the active roster once they are ready.

They did us a favor. He’s getting older, has an injury history, is a documented ME FIRST player, hasn’t produced like he did in NY, and generally isn’t a likable team player.

Those with playoff expectations are gonna be sad to see him go elsewhere, but this is for the best. We knew that at some point, after all of the years of kicking dead money down the road to support Drew, the bill would come due. It has.

Our best play at this point, is to focus really intently on the guys you have, and on your PS, and try to find possible long term contributors that can be kept at value, and to start stockpiling draft picks. High priced free agents can buy you 3-4 years most of the time, but they put you into cap hell. I don’t feel like we’re in a rebuild, but we’re out of options, with the deadline passed, and so now we do the best with what we have.

Well everything was going fine until that fateful blow to Winston, CGM failed surgery and Kamara getting injured.

At this point though im open for trying anyone. Especially at the WR position. Find out who can contribute whrn the lights sre on. Outside of Callaway, Harris and CGM I dont see anyone coming back next year that is currently an active WR

Nothing these guys can contribute.

Hell the projected All Pro WR by so many Saints fans (Callaway) can barely catch a ball. It's a tough position to play in the NFL.
Callaway hasn’t dropped balls. He’s been doing very well, but he’s not getting enough separation. We need the light to come on for White.

If the Saints fall below .500 in a few weeks… I really hope they get Ian Book some experience and see if there might be something there
Me too…I really wanna see the dude play. I hope he’s been studying the playbook better than Jordan Love has for the last 2-3 years whenever he was drafted. I would think Love would’ve known the playbook in and out plus running the scout team. I was disappointed in his play…anyways back to Book, I wanna see what he’s got win or lose…

For certain. We had people projecting a 1,400 yard season. Heck I think I projected over 800.
At the very least… this season will help Callaway long-term… especially when Michael Thomas and some legit WRs land on the roster. I still believe he has a bright future. This is just a terrible situation for him

That still shocks the heck out of me. I guess preseason really is a mirage.

What is Callaway's weakness in regards to getting open? Is he just not as "sudden" as guys like Michael Thomas? Callaway certainly has the prototypical WR1 height/weight, and it's not like he's lineman slow. What gives?
