It’s not a knock on Rattler but maybe Moore thinks someone else would be a better option that would help the team win

Or he does not want to cupboard to be bare because Carr and or Haener will not be on the roster in a year. It’s not a knock on Rattler but maybe Moore thinks someone else would be a better option that would help the team win
Never said arm strength. Drew was a slinger but didn’t have a cannon of an arm. All I mainly care about is can a QB make the important pass, in a crucial moment bc every QB needs to. Like I said, I’ve wanted a mobile QB forever now, but if a guy can hit the long ball accurately, for a 50-60 yard gain/TD, then why would I want him to run into danger for a 10-15 yard scamper? Why not both?
Arm strength to me is not on the top of my list for QB traits, it's more a nice to have.....Leadership, accuracy, field vision all much more important IMO....

I believe you mentioned something earlier about all of the good teams have mobile QBs. That’s incorrect bc 7 of the playoff teams have QBs that barely run.
The college level loves the mobile QBs, but 99% of those mobile QBs don’t make it or will never make it to the NFL bc they lack that one important intangible. Placing the ball where it needs to be, in the passing game. If you have the opportunity to add a rare commodity like a Lamar, Josh, or Hurts, then sure take the chance. Unfortunately, we didn’t twice with those names
I want to like Dart really bad and I am warming up to him. I honestly can not get over how long his wind up on his throw is. I’m sure that can be corrected, but there is something about that guy, that just makes me believe that he will bust at the NFL level. I will say that he has played well against ranked teams and that can’t be overlooked. This is why I like Dart. He can sling it for 50+ yards. He weighs 227 lbs and can scramble very well. He’s also shown that he’s really good pre snap and post snap processing the play.
But the risk can’t be ignored either. He’s going to have to adjust to an NFL style offense and simultaneously work on his accuracy. His accuracy isn’t bad but it more resembles David Carr than Drew Brees.
If Moore doesn’t want him, I can’t blame him. If he does want him, I get it.
you are a defensive captain. Who do you want to face on 3rd and 10 in the modern NFL? Brady or Jalen Hurts,Mahommes or Daniels? I'm taking the Qb who isnt a threat to runNever said arm strength. Nor am I. I do believe it will change the salary cap structure tough. what did Vick and Newton do when their legs were gone?I'm actually not an advocate for the running QB, it's not a long term solution (or career).....the Commanders need to find a way to limit JD5's running or eventually the inevitable will happen....

I do think Jayden Daniels is different
Does the league start drafting these types? Are you going to commit the largest part of your cap who will be done by 30 years of age?Obviously not a fan, but the only one to last a while was Newton, and it likely was the fact that he was about 240-250.....
Vick's MO was consistent, run like crazy early in the season, injuries start happening and by the end of the season he is ineffective.....
There may be a few exceptions, but, running QB's don't tend to last long in the NFL.....

I had the same question when Daniels came out, He takes the knee when he has too, Our defense under Allen struggled against the Qb's. who did this. It's the main reason I wanted him goneSalient questions above my friend, mine are along the lines of.....Are offensive coaches going to be smarter with them? Limiting their runs and focusing on escapability and throws/plays on the move?
